HORRIBLE!!!! A few weeks ago, I went with my 2 kids and I. I am not one to leave bad reviews and take time out of my day to leave a bad review unless the company deserves it. A few weeks ago, we went and got food. I specifically asked the Spanish Chinese lady for a mix of chaufa. I specifically asked for beef, chicken, and shrimp. The lady brought me the wrong plate the first time with chicken shrimp and PORK. And it’s cut up SO TINY and they add SO MUCH RICE! I was like this is not what I asked for I don’t even eat pork because of my religion. The second time around, she brought the same plates back, still, without the beef. And I was about to ask for it the third time, and then when I asked her, why does she keep messing up, she got the nerve to get mad at me and say that they don’t have any beef anymore. I asked her, so why didn’t you guys tell me this when I first placed my order and you keep messing up? My daughters were already eating their plate, and I told her you know what I’m not going to pay for any of this, especially because you’re being very rude. She started yelling in front of all the customers, and the customers were all looking towards my way. The Chinese lady literally took the plates from my daughter’s hands without even asking! She was literally walking away and yelling at me in front of my two young kids, so I yelled at her across the room and said to her that she is extremely rude and that I promised her I was gonna be leaving her a bad review and then I called her a grosera, because she truly was being rude, and all the customers were staring at her. It was the most embarrassing moment I have ever had in a restaurant. I have already told a lot of my friends and family, and I promise you that there will be a lot of people that won’t go back. On top of that, they’re stealing our money for over pricing these plates that they put 95% of rice and 5% of the protein.!!!!!!! it’s a horrible place that I promise I will never go back! The other day I saw a sign on the door and it seems like they’re closed. I hope that they close...
Read moreMonday 06/03/24 - We were excited to visit after having visited in a few years when the food was so good. We ordered Tipakay Chicken, House Special LoMein and my son wanted lomo saltado, plus an order of arroz chaufa (fried rice). We noticed immediately that the fried rice was not fresh, it was re-fried, still good but boy, let's see the rest of the food. Chicken Tipakay is supposed to be breaded chicken a bit crunchy on the outside but this was re-fried chicken not fresh and it was dry through! It was very hard to chew and not nice to taste. The house special lomein was just boiled noodles from a package with sauteed veggies, chicken and shrimp on top. The shrimp, according to my husband, was tasteless. The most interesing dish was my son's. He ordered the lomo saltado, we were suprised it was asian style not criollo style, since we were in a Peruvian-Chinese restaurant, we told him to try it and he did, he only had some pieces of steak which were super seasoned with pepper like trying to cover something and the dish usually is served with fries, which we recognized to be the fries we buy from the frozen isle at Walmart. The check came close to $100, and tip was already included (beware). My husband and I were in such shock for such bad food that was served, that only when the check came, we discussed how bad it was and that it was not worth the amount of money we were paying. Once of the things we discussed was maybe because it is a Monday and it is slow... blah, blah, but literally there's no excuse if you are a restaurant with a good reputation to ruin it by serving old food to Monday customers, it should always be good. There are a lot of new Peruvian restaurants popping up in South Florida and all the way up to Palm Beach, where we actually live, if they keep going like this, they will not have business from anybody. Especially, from the Peruvian community, because guess what, as immigrants we like to enjoy a hard week of work by spending our money for good things not for something that belongs...
Read moreOur visit to Chifa Tay Pa was a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the stage for what would be a memorable meal.
The menu offers a unique fusion of Chinese and Peruvian flavors, a combination I hadn’t tried before but was eager to explore. We started with the wantán frito (fried wontons), which were crispy, golden, and filled with a savory mixture that perfectly whetted our appetites.
For the main course, I opted for the chaufa especial, a fried rice dish packed with a mix of meats, vegetables, and a perfect blend of spices. The portions were generous, and the flavors were rich and well-balanced. My companion tried the tallarín saltado, a stir-fried noodle dish with tender strips of beef and fresh vegetables. The dish was flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness from the wok.
What truly stood out, however, was the service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Their genuine hospitality added to the overall experience, making us feel like valued guests.
Dessert was a highlight as well. We shared a suspiro limeño, a traditional Peruvian dessert that was creamy, sweet, and the perfect ending to our meal.
In all, Chifa Tay Pa offers not just a meal, but an experience that showcases the best of Peruvian-Chinese fusion cuisine. Whether you're familiar with this style of cooking or trying it for the first time, it's a culinary journey worth taking. We left fully satisfied and...
