I recently visited the Chipotle Mexican Grill in Maricopa City and was met with a significant disappointment. Chipotle, known for its customizable Mexican fare, surprisingly ran out of a fundamental ingredient – tortillas. This was not only surprising but also quite inconceivable for a restaurant whose menu largely revolves around burritos and tacos.
The lack of tortillas severely limited the dining experience. While Chipotle offers bowls and salads, the essence of enjoying a classic burrito or taco was missed. It was disheartening, especially for someone like myself who was looking forward to their signature burrito. The situation was further exacerbated by the fact that no prior notice was given about this shortage, either at the entrance or before queuing up.
Although the staff at the restaurant were polite and did their best to accommodate with the available options, it didn't compensate for the fact that a staple item was unavailable. It was a letdown, considering Chipotle's reputation for efficiency and consistency.
In summary, my visit to the Chipotle Mexican Grill in Maricopa City was far from satisfying. Running out of tortillas is a major oversight for a Mexican grill and significantly impacts the dining experience. I hope this was a one-off incident and that measures will be taken to ensure that such a fundamental ingredient is always in stock, as it's crucial for meeting customer...
Read moreWalked in as the only 2 customers going to order. Right off the bat all the employees behind the counter were rushing as if they were in the middle of a lunch/dinner rush with 40+ people in line. I told the first guy I wanted a bowl to go and he started the process for making my bowl. Before I could tell him double rice the next guy was already asking me what beans I wanted and had my bowl in his hands only to then have to give it back to the first kid to get double rice.
I proceeded to go down the line of protein, queso, toppings etc and have to repeat myself on every step because the guy wasn’t paying attention to what I was ordering.
My mom then orders her bowl and is also having to repeat herself along every step because the staff is rushing us through the line and not paying attention. Again we were the only 2 people in line.
We get to the end and order our drinks and chips and per usual we order extra sides of sour cream because they won’t give us a large side of sour cream. We order the sides of sour cream only to then have one of the guys make a rude comment about how many we ordered. Which, in all transparency we wouldn’t have to order that many if they actually filled the cups all the way instead of only 1/2 full.
Needless to say Maricopa Chipotle will be added to the list of vetoed eating out options as this is not the first time...
Read moreUPDATE: 1/19/2024. The service is still minimal and the wait is the same due to online orders. The line was line while they made food for people who wasn’t in the store. I will continue going to Cilantros for well seasoned and nicely portioned plates.
I haven’t here at all in 2023. I got two bowls today and it was almost $28😭🤯. I get home to eat and the food is tasteless, like who’s seasoning this food😬 I was chewing the steak like it bubble gum and the rice was hard, plus it was really cold. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! Your order will be super skimpy with half of the ingredients. THIS PLACE NEED A ZERO STAR NOW… too much rice and no meat
It took at least 20 minutes before my order was taken… this is not okay!!!!!! They were doing calls in orders while customers stood in line. My whole lunch break was over by the time I got my food. This is why I choose not to go here anymore but my kids want chipotle. Also, the blonde who is prepping orders is RAF... still rude 8/6/2022 Also, I was told they was out of corn but I saw an order in front of me made with corn. She told me it was only for online orders😳🧐🤯
I was told all the pre-orders are done before those in line. I saw 6 people with a long line while one worker was doing pre-orders. I think I saw the manager walking around, he needs to be fired for this...
