W & Z Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Maricopa

well, this is my second visit to this restaurant. The first times it was basically empty, so the service was great, and the food was about average. the second time was out of control from the moment I walked in it was one of the male waiters looked my wife up and down a few times then walked off a female waiter sat us from that point we where completely ignored by that same male waiter this continued till we where sure that others where seated ate and left before we received menu's so we had to stop him and ask if we could order out food he reluctantly agreed but was clearly put off by this 4 other tables where seated and and orders where placed 2 received food before the kids fries where brought out the other two tables received food and we could see that our food was ready but it was not being delivered so we asked if he would bring the food to us without a word he walks off and comes back with my wife's soup.... we wait another 5 minutes and just as I was about to go get the food myself my wife asked a different server if he would bring it to us he talks to the server then finally he brings the other two orders one plate at a time and stopping to check on other tables before bring my plate so at this point my sushi is lukewarm mushy over all not very good and to make it worse I received no chop sticks or any other ntensils. the server has completely destroyed this restaurant for me and my family it will be a hard sell to get...

They made us sick! All 4 of us are home with food poisoning today!!

The service was extremely poor. No greeting at the door, and our waiter completely ignored us (whilst simultaneously tending to other tables with a smile)!!! Like they were annoyed we even walked in.

-This was our first time there.-

We got the wrong order and the waiter refused to replace it or even acknowledge that that's not what we ordered (literally the ingredients and picture were wrong - we even showed him on the menu).

We were forced to pay for food we didn't order or recieve.

On top of that, the food wasn't that good. And we were so excited to try this new restaurant! We heard great things!! But the food was -just- pretty. Nothing spectacular.

You know what's sad about this? My daughter was taking us to a Mother's Day Dinner. The waiter didn't acknowledge her the entire time, and then got annoyed when she ordered; making the "hurry up!" motions. Then, when it was time to pay, she gave him her card and cash, and he handed it back to me completely, again completely ignoring her. When she literally paid him.

For food we didn't order or eat, and what we DID was just sub-par. -

Even my 8 and 5 year old were like "it seems like they don't like us," literally walking into the place.

And now we're all sick.

Husband had broccoli beef with white rice of the lunch choices. Just the right amount. No complaints from him. I had the vegetable tempura bento box with fried rice. The flavor of the miso soup was good, but the seaweed was very tough. Had to sip soup from the bowl rather than use a spoon to avoid the seaweed. Bento came without my fried rice and had to request it again. The gyosa was greasy, but flavor okay. Vegetable tempura was over fried, causing vegetables to be mushy and tempura extremely crispy. Each piece was so large that it was difficult to manage with chopsticks and needed to be cut smaller to fit into tempura sauce dish. The fried rice was good and had egg peas and carrots in it. California roll was generous in size, but too much avocado gave it a mushy texture. Otherwise, it was good. The server was seen cooking after serving us, so when we needed something, we had to go up to the reception desk to request it. The receptionist only took customers to their table. Therefore, we had to ask another server for help. My husband had to go get chopsticks and a "to go" box. We will definitely try this again and I'll order something else and see how that goes. Everyone has an off-day...
