If you're in the mood for a fantastic dining experience, Turmeric is definitely worth a visit. They offer halal options, but do note that only the chicken and goat dishes are halal.
My husband and I, joined by his parents, came to celebrate his mother's birthday, and we made sure to indulge in as many dishes as we could.
For appetizers, we started with a shared platter of mixed vegetable pakora and chicken chili momo. Both were a hit! The pakora was crispy and perfectly spiced, while the chicken chili momo was an absolute standout. The aroma of the chili momo was so intoxicating that it filled the entire restaurant. My father-in-law also ordered the chicken corn soup, which was savory and satisfying, and everyone who tried it agreed that it was fantastic.
For the main course, my mother-in-law opted for the Tandoori chicken, fish, and shrimp with basmati rice. When the dish arrived, it sizzled on the plate and the presentation was just as impressive as the flavor. Each component was cooked to perfection, and the spices were balanced beautifully. My father-in-law thoroughly enjoyed his goat biryani. The richness of the goat meat and the depth of the spices made it a dish he’ll surely order again. My husband had the chicken biryani, which tasted wonderful, but he was a little disappointed with the spice level. It wasn’t as fiery as he expected, but the overall flavor was still spot on.
As for me, I had the chicken makhani (butter chicken), which was comforting and flavorful. The dish was slightly sweeter than what I typically enjoy, but the taste was still delicious, and the sauce was rich and creamy. We all shared garlic naan and masala paratha to complement our meals—both were soft, warm, and paired wonderfully with our curries.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the classic gulab jamun. These little syrup-soaked treats were the perfect end to our meal—sweet, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Aside from the amazing food, the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The service was impeccable, with drinks being refilled promptly and plates cleared as needed. It felt like the kind of attentive service you'd expect at a fine dining restaurant, and it certainly made our celebration feel special.
We left Turmeric full, satisfied, and looking forward to our next visit. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot on our list of go-to spots.

Read moreWent for dinner last night. Restaurant was half full. Seated quickly, but it went downhill from there. 5 minutes later we had our order taken. 5 minutes after that another waiter came by to take our order. 30 minutes later the manager/owner? Came by and said he'd find out where our food was. They brought our roti order, then a few minutes later our momos - we also ordered pakora. After an hour of waiting I flagged down the manager and let him know how much time had passed and he said he'd find out what was going on. Another couple who'd had their order taken before us looked like they'd only gotten an order of roti. Manager didn't come back. Finally we got up and left - I went to the register to offer to pay for what we'd received. The manager asked us to wait until he could check with the kitchen about our order. He came back a few minutes later and said we should just go, they'd made a mistake.
I'll say this: what food we got tasted really good, lots of flavor and spice, and the food they brought out to other tables smelled fantastic. But my fear is this place is not going to make it if they can't figure out how to operate a restaurant. Waiters being confused over who owns what table was a red flag, as was only ever getting checked on by the manager, and then having limited to no results from those interactions. We did not order a large amount of food (it was me and my son, and we were looking forward to finding some really good Indian cuisine in the area), and I noticed the restaurant was fulfilling a large number of to go orders - I might recommend taking care of dinner in customers only (or take out only) until you figure out your operations...
Read moreGreat traditional Northeren and Southern Indian food. The dishes are authentic, with fresh and flavor Ingredients. Definitely one of the top Indian food places to try in all of Atlanta. Don't underestimate this restaurant!!
Food: The Chicken butter Marsala is on point very tender chicken, well spiced along with that outstanding butter tomato sauce is to die for. The Somasa Chat is a must try!! Sweet and savory flavors that bust out of that crunchy dough and juicy deliciousness of flavorful tangy yogurt is pure heaven and surprisingly light. The Lamb Marsala is my new favorite. Tender and seasoned with a medium spiced lamb chunks. If you like ir hot they can ratchet it up as well. Just Awesome flavor combined with thier made to perfection rice. So many other dishes to try you definitely want to come back and explore more of this authentic menu. The food is awesome.
Service: It's on point, from the Management to the wait staff very attentive and of course will guide you thru the menu. They really want you to have a great experince.
Atmosphere: I am pretty sure this building was a Wendy's before Turmeric bought the place. So it has the drive up window (not used) and the outside does look like a fast food joint. The I side has been remodeled but it does get crowded pretty quick and there's a wait usually. Good sign as you see alot of Indian families and couples there which is a big plus in my book!! You know the food is down right close to home.
I highly recommend this place, You...
