When my daughter and I walked in with my grandson in his carrier, there were plenty of employees there, but no one said hello. They looked disgusted that we had even walked in. There were two booths with baby seats on them to keep anyone from sitting at them. Another two ladies were waiting for booths, too. The employees told us all we could sit at the bar area. We decided to sit at the low bar area. When we sat down, we placed drink orders and I asked about the waffle breakfast sandwich that Iāve been hearing about on the radio. She rolled her eyes and said they did not have it. She did not want to be at work and definitely does not know how to treat customers. While she was getting our drinks, I looked up the breakfast sandwich. I showed her a picture of it in case anyone else asked about it. She would cut me off each time I was talking. Then she told me that no one else had asked about it. Just me. Just you she said. It was intentionally rude. We decided to leave and she said something to the table where she was taking an order. I told her I was not leaving because of the menu. I was leaving because of her attitude.
We left and went to the Waffle House at Barrett Pkwy and 575. Totally different experience there. I asked about the waffle sandwich just to see how they would respond. The waitress answered with a smile that they did not have that. I showed her the picture and she acted interested in it. Food was delicious. Then as we were sitting enjoying each otherās company the cook came around to the tables asking each customer how everything was. That...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI found out after I ate my meal that their card reader wasnāt working. I was told I would face the police if I didnāt have cash. I have a lot of money and I have a debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, cashapp, Venmo, but I was being held hostage by a waitress tonight. She took my drink order and then served my food before the waters. I donāt come to Waffle House for customer service⦠but I expect to leaveā¦The waitress confirmed itās not my card that was the problem, itās the card reader, very confidently, but would not allow me to leave without paying cash. Had I not brought my wife, we wouldnāt have been able to go down the road to get cash. I donāt know who, but Iād like to talk to someone just to correct this. A person that canāt understand a situation like the one I was in shouldnāt be allowed to handle money:
Update: Was asked to file complaint on the Waffle House website. Havenāt heard...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel it's a darn shame that the third shift crew is NEVER open and always pick and choose, which is pretty biased, on what customers they are going to serve. They do not even do to go only, when you pull up they swipe their hand by their neck, referencing that they are closed with a rockstar cook and server.
KUDOS to the location I think 2156 on Sandy Plains!!! It is sad how that crew always have to do extra work and take care of extra customers because the WILLIAMS DRIVE location discriminates against certain people. I really think they have got used to not being open and are lazy. I would recommend corporate to definitely "Undercover Boss" that location, shame on the manager at Williams Drive. ONCE AGAIN, kudos to Ellie and her crew at 2156, they really care and it shows with the food and the great customer service. My family and I will definitely make the 2156...
