KFC — Restaurant in Marion

They were out of everything except extra crispy and only a few of those. We had to wait 20 minutes for the original recipe chicken. They had four people in line behind us , left when they heard that. We waited. The floors were dirty in the dinning room, chicken that was crumbled all over the floor, 9 dirty tables, I had to use the bathroom, the battery for the smoke detector was chirping, the floors and toilets were l dirty, paper every where. Sinks were dirty. There were 5 employees working one Girl taking orders, one girl on a computer, a manager, and 2 people filling orders. They were all just kind of standing around. The manager must have been back cooking the chicken. People In the drive thru were leaving when they heard there was only extra crispy left. There were 2 people behind me there to pick up orders and they had no chicken. The manager told them it would be about 20 minutes , and they both got mad. The one guy said that is why he called it in, so he wouldn't have to wait. The manager apologized and offered them drinks while they waited, and that guys said no...I don't want one! There needs to be an adult working there to manage the employees standing around . Someone needed to get these employees to clean , sweep, and do something besides stand around looking at each other. There was a lot of cleaning they should have been doing, especially since they didn't have chicken to fill orders. We waited about 20 minutes for our order , just a 4 pc. dinner and the others that called in , had small orders, not like it was buckets of chicken...and the other guy had a 3 pc. Dinner. They all waited 20 minutes for their food too. When you have a business and only have kids working ...this will ruin a business. If you don't do something soon you will loose all your business. I go to this KFC regularly. But if things don't improve, I won't...

I have not been to a KFC for at least 6 years. I ordered a 2 piece chicken dinner. The gal that brought it to the counter called out 2 piece dark meat dinner. I said " I ordered a two piece but did not know it was all dark meat". I requested a white piece. She said they always come with dark meat. I explained I hadn't ate at a KFC for that length of time. The RM then stuck her head around the corner and asked what was wrong and the gal that was at the counter mumbled something about me not wanting two pieces of dark meat. Rhonda, the RM, then came up front and I explained that I did not know that it came with two pieces of dark meat and that I guess the other girl assumed I knew. At this point the RM Rhonda, snickered in my face and said well yeah of course we would assume you know what you ordered. My question to her was how would somebody new coming to KFC know that you only serve dark meat when a person orders a meal? I did not receive a response. I think it would be common courtesy for the person taking the order to explain to somebody that you just get two pieces of dark meat or three or whatever the meal is you order, is that okay? But no we're supposed to just know. I guess it'll be another 6 plus years before I go back to another KFC. And as an added bonus as I was leaving Rhonda and her crew were all laughing and talking about me. It's easy to understand why customers could become what is dubbed a Karen when dealing with ignorant customer...

Marion, Illinois KFC is wonderful. Fast , friendly and helpful. Unlike Benton, IL KFC. We called Benton ahead to make sure we could get 2-16pc meals on Mother's day, was told they don't take call in orders on busy holidays, understand no problem, but when I called back to see how long it might take if we walked in and ordered, was told by the girl on the phone "no idea, first come first served hon" . That lost my business right there, obviously does not care if they have it or not. Marion KFC, young lady was very professional on the phone , polite and let me know policy, when I asked how long it might take if we walked in , she assured me that it would not take long as they try to keep a good amount ready. When we walked in, they were swamped but took our order with a smile, had it ready within 5 minutes total , handed me a rose with a "Happy Mother's Day".
