I guess I get a little more critical when I'm away from home and feel like trying the Mexican food places, today I tried this place and to be honest it was not that bad,it was clean the staff was good and the food came fast my problem was the taste sorry guys but you need to work on your sazon because it was found lacking the bean we decent and the rice was pretty good the complementary chips and salsa were awesome the salsa was not spicy which I personally like, but all that was overshadowed by the asada burrito sorry guys you need more spice and guacamole because a burrito without guacamole is incomplete and you need a little spicier salsa with some cilantro in it just to add some flavor to what till this day has been one of my top 5 most flavorless burrito I had tried, sorry for the 3 stars but it was really flavorless and I will not try this place again if in the area.

Delicious family recipes, in a comfortable, vibrant atmosphere. The owner personally ensured our meal was to our liking. He even gave my wife and I a tour of the place. I could tell he takes pride in his restaurant, and it shows. Authentic tables and chairs from Mexico, a tequila plant wall mural for the bar, beautiful oil on canvas paintings, custom paint design and art, make this the place to be. But, of course, most important is the food. This is better than any Mexican food I've had from Texas to Toronto, Canada, to Iowa.

Visiting my girlfriend’s family for Christmas and I didn’t know what to expect in this little town of Marion. I got 6 tacos, Al Pastor/Lengua/Carnitas, and they were all very authentic and phenomenal. The Al Pastor was authentic, not my favorite but still good. The Carnitas was on point, a little crispy too which is authentic. The Lengua, pictured, was some of the best I ever had!!! I also got a side of their house tomatillo salsa which was the perfect spice and flavor. I highly recommend this place! I was pleasantly surprised!

This was my family's go to for Mexican about 15 -20years ago when they were one of the first Mexican restaurants .Then I started trying other places in southern Illinois. I mentioned a dish "steak on the beach". That I had at a local Mexican restaurant tequilas . They where offended The paying customer mentioned another places dish so they would not take my order until I specifically called the dish by what he called it. I would not go for this and said "you know what I want to eat do you or do you not want my money. Then he was like " you come in here with family right?" This guys is a short thicker Mexican who is either senior mgmt., or part owner. Not sure why he is so rude. He has been there since the Beginning. He did this exact same thing to me once before I let it slide . He also said that people get sick from tequilas chips. I don't even like tequilas. They also had a location in Johnston City. Terrible . They are greedy and upset about competition around so they are bully's and slander. They need to focus on customer service more. My family and I will go...

Went there with my husband. To be honest wasnt expecting anything extraordinary. However I was wrong. Great service from the start. The food was the best Mexican I ever tasted (and I have eaten Mexican food in many place in both Canada and the USA ). I had the chicken Chimachonga and the crepe was delicious and the chicken filling was abundant. Lots of food for a very fair price. A gentleman (who i later found out was the owner) came out and was checking with all the patrons to ensure the food was good. He stopped by our table too. He ensured we were happy and told us the story of his restaurant (because we asked) He then gave us a tour and showed us the beautiful restaurant furniture made in Mexico and the murals and art on the walls. Him and his staff were a total class act. Highly recommend and I would...
