This is one of those shops that really benefits the community. It is family owned, friendly and the gelato is the best in the area.
First, some people have noted the high price. The real question is if the price matches the quality and I say yes. Also, there are some other high end gelatos for sale locally that go for the same or more. I recall the Florida based Stefano Versace--no longer in the Delaware Valley-- which had excellent gelato and sky high prices, much higher than Sweet Spot. If the price is too high for your budget, that is your personal business and I won't question you, but given the quality, it isn't over priced.
Second, I tried the gelato--straciatella and banana- as well as two of the cupcakes. They were both as good as it gets anywhere. I have had gelato that was like ice milk, I have had freezer burned gelato, weakly flavored gelato and then I had Sweet Spot which was perfect. And the cupcakes were close to as good as I get at my favorite bakery, only less expensive.
The people who run the store are friendly, which in an age where I can't get a cashier to look me in the eye and say Hello or to give a simple Thank You, the attitude at Sweet Spot is much appreciated.

Read moreMe and my fiancé were out tonight and decided to stop in and get some ice cream. The people behind the counter were awesome. They began explaining to us about their gelato ice cream and the ingredients. Instantly my fiancé fell in love with the gelato ice cream after getting to taste test it. They also have a decent amount of candy as well. I picked up some old school bottle caps candies. It was like nostalgia in a box. We got 2 ice cream cups with 1 scoop each. I got a few toppings, a box of bottle caps candy, and a bag of milk chocolate nonpareils. All for $19 and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you for helping to make our night...
Read moreGreat Gelato as well as typical (Hershey's) ice cream and other Italian treats like bomboloni (donuts) and Cannoli. We especially liked the tiramisu gelato and the raspberry sorbetto. It also has lots of candies and gifts like handbags. Everything is a bit pricey but the gelato is definitely worth it. We bought a pint of the raspberry sorbetto to go. The ladies there were super friendly. We'll be back especially since it's around the corner to us! About time we had a real ice cream parlor in town...
