I placed an order for pickup that was supposed to be ready at 10:38. I arrived at 10:44 and my food still wasn’t ready. While I was waiting, I noticed the hostess (the plus size white woman) being very bubbly and friendly to white customers, greeting them right away and making them feel welcomed. Meanwhile, she never once acknowledged me. Another couple came in after me, and again, she was warm and gracious to them but completely ignored me. I finally had to speak up and say, “Excuse me, I’m waiting to pick up an order.” Even circled my face with my hand wondering if I was invisible today. Only then did she go check, making an excuse about how the servers usually bring orders up, which felt dismissive. About 5–6 minutes later, she brought my food out and mispronounced my name — even though I had just told her the correct pronunciation. She didn’t bother to correct herself. By the time I got my food, it was 10:50, well past the promised time. to make things worse, my order was wrong. I specifically asked for over medium eggs, but they came over easy. As a local resident who lives just two minutes away, this location is very convenient for me, but the way I was treated compared to the white customers was unacceptable. I will not be returning or giving them my business again.

First Watch is a chain restaurant serving up a variety of breakfast and lunch options with a few creative juice options. The menu has a good variety that hit on classics like omelets and pancakes and creative features like a grilled cornbread variation of huevos rancheros. We started with the million dollar bacon; smoked bacon topped with pepper and maple syrup. You only get four slices for $5, but the flavor is worthwhile. For entrees, I went with the Summer Crab Omelet (it was packed with crab meat), and my fiancee chose the AM Superfoods Bowl. Everything, down to the thick slices of multigrain toast, was delicious. We loved the healthy option of a side salad with the omelet, and chia seed pudding prepared with coconut milk. Ultimately, can’t recommend First Watch enough based on the food alone. This location is clean and expansive inside. It has communal seating up front for solo diners, a small patio with a few tables, and an open kitchen in the back. Service was quick and attentive, although you could tell the staff were feeling the pressure of a weekend rush. We would definitely return. TIPS: Download the app for advance seating...it’ll put you on the list before you arrive. Also, sign-up for the rewards club beforehand and you’ll get a buy one, get one coupon.

Today I specifically visited in order to use my buy one entree get one free Birthday coupon. What I appreciate the most about this coupon is that it gives enough time to be able to use it without expiring. My daughter and one of my sisters joined me today. It was on a Sunday morning and the wait was not long at all! It was busy, yet everyone was so efficient and worked seamlessly as a team. No one was rushing around yet everyone was served in a very timely manner. From the time I walked in and gave my name to the hostess to the time that we left it was one of the most relaxing breakfast's I've ever had in recent memory. The food was delicious! It's one of the healthiest choices around in my book. My sister and I each had a variation of the trifecta and my daughter had the lemon ricotta pancakes and they looked amazing. We also had a shareable of pumpkin spice donut holes with some dipping sauces. My sister had the carrot juice special and she said it was delicious. I was first introduced to First Watch in South Florida and I was very grateful when I moved back home to Pennsylvania two years ago to find one nearby. If you haven't been, you definitely should check it out. Healthy food at a very reasonable price for sure.

First I'd like to compliment the area of this breakfast place, it looked nice. The food was great, and there were no complaints. The service here was bad. My husband and I are new to this area, We were on our way to Jersey but decided to stop by for some breakfast on the way. The white lady we got as a waitress (forgot her name) looked to be in her 40s treated us nicely at first and took our drinks and orders fine. But the wait was unbearable. My husband and I showed up around the same time as this other group of ladies who were going to dine outdoors as well. They had a different waitress than us but the waitress we had gave us less hospitality. The ladies sat at the table right next to us outside and the waitress they had was a younger-looking lady, she seemed like she gave them great hospitality compared to ours. They had already gotten their drinks and were ordering their meals when our waitress wasn't around yet. We waited about 10 minutes until she finally showed up and took our drink orders. She did ask us if we were ready to order our food as well but we did tell her we did want a couple of minutes to decide on what we wanted since we are fairly new to this breakfast place. During this time of waiting for our drinks which took 10 minutes, the waitress who was taking the ladies next to us asked us if we were okay and if we needed any assistance since she thought we were sitting there for a while. We told her no everything was taken care of as it “supposedly” seemed. Our waiter came 10 minutes later and finally took our order and while I was asking questions on the menu she was being quite straightforward and seemed like she didn't want to take our order. We finished ordering and our food took 20 minutes to arrive. While waiting for our food we looked around at other diners around us and noticed the ladies next to us were almost finished with their food. Then the waitress who was taking them stopped by here and there giving them hospitality and other tables around us, she went again to ask us if we had already been taken care of and we told her yeah that our food is on the way. So she smiles and leaves. By then we start eating our food and our waitress doesn't come by and give us any hospitality whatsoever. She never showed up to ask us how the food was going, she just disappeared for another 20 minutes or so and then showed up just to hand us the bill. We gave her the lowest tip (which was 18%) since we felt she didn't deserve much for the service she gave us. The service was very poor. We tried being understanding thinking it was quite busy inside but my husband went inside to use the restroom in between the waiting time for our food and said it wasn't too busy anymore, mostly everyone was already leaving. We were there for...

I am appalled at my experience at this location. I’ve always enjoyed the experiences as well as food at other locations! This one however in my opinion was bias and racist! I waited over 20 mins to be acknowledged, I was on my phone when I came in, the waitress when she did come to me said she’d be back and never came back! I was there for 40 mins before I was waited on.. and It wasn’t until I went to the front desk to ask for the manager when she finally asked me if I was ready to order, when I asked her what was the wait she states I was on my phone and she didn’t want to be rude and interrupt my call, she then brought the manager over who I voiced my concerns with, he then briefed me on how he trains his waitresses and he trains them not to interrupt a call if the person is on a personal call and how it’s rude. I said that isn’t rude what’s rude is letting a person sit there and show them absolutely no acknowledgment for over a 1/2 hour to not even ask a customer for so much as a drink of water… if she didn’t want to interrupt my call she could’ve used a hand gesture something to acknowledge my existence! I said so in other words if I was sitting here for 45 mins I’d just be left to indulge in my conversation… he said yes!!!! He also states that if I was done on the phone I could’ve fingered her that I was ready. I said since when is it my responsibility to get the attention of the waitress for service.. I said the same way Your asking me or suggesting that I could’ve put my phone down is the same way she could’ve came over acknowledged that there was a person in the seat and asked if I was ready to order or do I still need a minute!.. there’s a way to do everything… He kept offering his blame and apologies, at this day and age everyone is on their phones in fact while sitting there I observed a number of them, and yet they were still acknowledged and serviced! The only person in the whole establishment that had any couth or care was another waiter who was black that was listening to vent and offer his apologies! Then as I’m venting to him another waitress has the audacity to come over to him and ask if he’s ok like I’m some deranged black woman.. mind my tone was even kilt the entire conversation!!! Absolutely mind boggling that we still live in a day and age where this type of racist rude behavior still exists!!! The only reason I’m giving this place a star is to vocalize my disgust! I will not be back...
