Sam's Pizza — Restaurant in Marseilles

If you know what good pizza is, don't waste your time. I placed a delivery order and was rushed off the phone by the girl who answered. So far not impressed. I waited 45min for the pizza to show up, which was a chore in itself because I hadn't been given any time to give my location, other than the companys address, when they took my order so I had to play tag with the delivery driver. By the time I got my pizza it was still pretty warm, but not hot like pizza should be. To top it off they cut their pizzas funny, not your normal slices, like small cross cut sections and the pizza itself is sub par. The dough they use is more like a biscuit than pizza crust and the sauce has no real flavor, just tomato. I've had better generic frozen pizzas than this mess. Do yourself a favor...

I visited Sam's for the first time and was very impressed with both the actual pizza and the process how they make the pizza. The pizza assembly is done right behind the counter and it is fun to watch the organized craziness as multiple pizzas, sandwiches and more are hand made and raced in and out of the ovens. The open family conversation as they work together is great. The actual pizza I took home was great. A deep dish that was loaded with the ingredients we selected. My wife and I both noted that the crust was very good all the way through the edges. Many time average crust is not eaten when you get to the edge of your slice, this crust was delicious and the edges were delightful to eat. Great overall experience, we will certainly be eating this...

This was my first of future many visits to Sam’s pizza. Wow! We were very impressed! We had a half veggie and half veggie sausage pizza along with a little tiramisu it was FANTASTIC! The pizza crust is light and crispy, the sauce is perfectly spiced to perfection. We met Sal who was beyond not only helpful, but a pure pleasure to talk to. The establishment offers an eat in, pickup and delivery option. It is an adorable place with cute nutcrackers placed throughout which we loved. There is also outdoor seating when it is nice outside.
