While Ivy's River (new name) doesn't have a storefront currently, the owner very graciously met up with me when I was in town as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties in NC. I was drawn to the original Ivy and Poet name for sure ;) I'm so glad this worked out because the treats were AMAZING! The vegan blueberry muffin was probably my favorite (and didn't even make it home LOL). The snicker doodle and chocolate chip cookie are 9/10 and the pignoli cookies? OMG. Definitely want to order some when they are available. Check out their online presence to have items shipped or pickup at local events as well as a pop up area in capitola mill.

The cutest little gem of a bakery I’ve found in WNC, atmosphere is perfect, cookies are fantastic, French press is done beautifully, and the colombian woman working was so kind and welcoming that I truly felt at home - will be frequenting this place!

Last night, NYE, was my third stop into Ivy & the Poet. The adorable ambience of the place and the cookies & pastries are so well done. This visit I got to see the Poet part in action as Bryan asked my name and I gave him my two words for my new year. He cranked out, on his cursive typewriter, one soul-touching & cry-worthy poem just for me. What a great bunch of ppl! Oh, and those pignoli cookies -swoon-cannot wait to...
