Maria's Uncorked Wine Tasting Room & Florist — Restaurant in Marshall

I placed an order over the phone February 26th to be picked up March 2nd. They were to decorate my infant daughter's grave for what would have been her 18th birthday. I chose a casket spray but explained I liked the type of flowers and the layout but I wanted different colors. I asked for ideally purples but I wanted it to be bright, cheerful and celebratory as they were not funeral flowers but birthday flowers. I was specifical that I wanted minimal white with NO PINK. When I picked them up the were mostly white with pink. When I said they were supposed to be purple I was told they couldn't get purple. I understand things happen but they should have called me to tell me. They did not and instead I got exactly what I said I did not want. I was so upset I cried. I spent almost $250. I wanted to say something more when I was there but I didn't trust myself to keep my emotions in check. I had to take them because there was no way to get her other flowers that day. I don't get to celebrate the way other parents do or give normal gifts. Instead I decorate a grave every year. My wife and I stopped into Maria’s Uncorked on a whim, just planning to take a quick look, but we ended up staying much longer thanks to the warm atmosphere and welcoming host. David, the winemaker himself, was behind the counter and made the experience truly memorable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his craft, which made every wine tasting feel personal and engaging. Everything was fabulous! From the moment you walk in, the decor and seating is lovely and inviting! Beautiful fresh flower to view (or buy!) and many wonderful wine options. We tried the warm mulled wine, the Diablo Rojo, the Jalepeno and a Sweet peach ( sorry I forgot the name), all were perfect! Our host was so friendly, it was like talking with a life-long friend.
