OK. Since moving to Marshalltown in the late Summer of 2019, I have been to this dining establishment more than any other restaurant and I ....and my dining companions..... have never been disappointed. The decor is the common western and cowboy motif seen in many BBQ joints. But the food is uncommonly excellent. Locally owned, not some BBQ chain! Food choices include smoked and BBQ items. My favorite is the smoked pork chop. Incredibly delicious. The smoked prime rib available Friday and Saturday nights is also excellent, some of the best primer rib I have ever had. I have also sampled the ribs, beef brisket, and chicken... and all are fantastic. An unbelievable choice of sides. Don't get too many or you will be stuffed. Service is very friendly and accomodating. There is a small full service bar with beer on tap, wine, and as well as the hard stuff. The crowd is diverse and the place was crowded on several Fridays and Saturday evenings that I was there. Yes. You need to save room for dessert. All-in-all a great dining experience in a casual atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!
