Cask 'n Flagon — Restaurant in Marshfield

I am only giving a 2 star over a one star based on one new manager who continually tried to fix a horrible situation despite it being a losing battle based on the waitress, food quality, another raggedy manager who couldn't handle that the overall night was out of control due to an abundance of under trained staff. I can't give her name since no one had name tags on which is always a bad sign. Restaurant was very busy but we were seated at exactly 5:25 for our 5:30 reservation. At 6 we had still not seen our waitress been given silverware or water. Went to the hostess station to tell them and then waited another 15 minutes for our waitress. Yes we should have left at that point. Waitress never introduced herself or apologize just said what do you want to order. We received incorrect drinks, horrible food, plates were brought by bus boys after cleaning tables with another ten minutes waiting for silverware, napkins and the fourth person's food. Did not ask if we wanted more drinks until we were leaving. The BBQ plater was taken off the tab and a new portion was given to bring home but it was still not good, we won't be eating it. Other patrons were clearly neglected and unhappy although a couple said that this is not the norm. Clearly they could not handle the crowd and should have only filled tables that could staff...

What can I say another day another review this time on my local caskenflagon. Always been one of the my families most delighted restraints yet again did not disappoint. This time around I have to say that Jenny wins mvp, and here’s why, she delivered food on the hop, she also did a kick flip on her skateboard, and was giving out high fives to all of the clients at the surrounding tables. I think everyone at the local caskeflagon can agree that Jenny really was mvp tonight and for that I thank her. Anyways moving on, I ordered the classic chicken Parmesan for the eighth time in a row and once again it was excellent from the chicken to the parm it sure was good, and for that I have to give bill in the kitchen a quick shout out a long with a round of applause and I ask that all of you guys reading this can do the same and take a quick moment to thank bill. I had an excellent experience with the restaurant this evening in the most unlikely of scenarios.

Some jackwagon lit up a cigarette and tossed it into the mulch outside the building. The cigarette began to smolder and eventually tiniest bit of smoke made its way inside, setting off the fire alarm. Although there was no immediate danger (the smoke was so light it went unnoticed by any patrons), the staff advised folks to safely evacuate.

Most left immediately, taking advantage of their "free" meal.

After the restaurant was safe to enter again, my group and I went back in to square up our tab. The owner ended up being there in casual clothing and was extremely appreciative of the gesture, telling us not to worry about the bill. We were still able to tip our waiter who couldn't thank us more for our kindness.

Great food, great service, and the owner has a heart of gold. Would...
