I don't tend to rate places until I've become familiar with the businesses by attending at least 3-4 times if not more. I live on the North Shore but am frequently in Marshfield and have been to Marshfield Famous at least a dozen times. I've never had a bad experience. I'm not trying to say the people who have had bad experiences didn't, I'm sure places have off days (even really off days) but this is why I won't review based on a single experience unless the experience was so bad I can't safely warrant eating somewhere again, in that case, go ahead, but talk to a manager/owner before posting scathing review, it might make you think twice.
Someone said the pizza was "really bad" I'm going to just disagree with that entirely. It isnt neopolitan pizza, if that's what you're expecting you won't be impressed, but anyone who knows pizza knows that if a joint has "Famous" "House of Pizza" or "Nick's" in the name it's gonna be Greek/pan pizza. Famous has thin crust "Greek" pan pizza, and it's pretty good. It's got virtually no edge crust and is absolutely loaded with toppings if you get a specialty pizza (see the pic of the buffalo pizza) the cheese pizza I ordered was a little overdone from an objective standpoint but I like it that way. All of their specialty pizzas that I've had are really good and the menu is wiiicked long. The subs and salads have also been solid.
Staff have only gotten friendlier over the years and they make an effort to keep the place clean based on how many people I've seen mopping and sweeping and wiping...
Read moreWe’ve used them often over the last few years. We ordered food for pre delivery for a party. They showed up and an item was missing. No big deal. I mention it to the driver and he told me he’d call and get it out asap with another driver. 15 min later I called just for an update and was treated like I was bothering them. I reiterated I just wanted to know where my food was. They told me it’d be there in 10-15 min. 35 min later I called to ask where this was, since this is for kids and they are all complaining and I was greeted by Charles. He was incredibly rude. When I asked to speak to a manager her said he was the manager. I asked just to cancel the food item at this rate and just me my money back, he said he couldn’t since the food was already made. This went back and forth and asked if there was anyone else I could speak with. Apparently Charles Sr.(his father) wouldn’t talk because “his son told me everything he would say to me and then more”. 1.5 hours after my food was supposed to show up my food finally showed up nice and cold. Never will I let Marshfield famous Pizza and Charles spoil a party of mine again. Use...
Read moreIt’s a shame that I have to write this because the food is very good. But I spoke to 2 different people on the phone. First phone call I spoke to a girl who was very understanding about where my order was. Told me to call back in 10 mins if the delivery driver wasn’t at my house. When the 10 minutes went by I called back. Got a different person on the phone who was very rude and condescending. Clearly there is a delay when you order online until when the order gets to the store. Someone from management should maybe speak to him about how customer service is supposed to go. When the food got here, a salad and small calzone. The calzone was cold. Didn’t have it in me to call back a third time to talk to someone who clearly doesn’t...
