Heatherfields is located within the Holiday Inn on Foxcroft Ave in Martinsburg, WV. Went here on Friday night for dinner and it is the first time that we have visited on Friday. We were aware of the venue and that the food was good and tonight did not disappoint. In addition, the live entertainment was awesome and completely enjoyable. You could enjoy the music and still be able to hold a conversation at the same time! As stated, the food was on point! I had salmon w/ Bernaise sauce, Broccoli, salad, baked potato, roll and Chocolate Mousse. My wife had the Beer Battered Fish and Chips. All food was cooked perfect and very tasty. We received a good supply of items to accompany the meal such as sauces, dips etc. Our meals were very competitively priced and dinner for two was $33.17 which is good for what we had. There is a Sunday brunch which we have not been to but will review it when we do. The restaurant has a fried chicken buffet on Thursdays that is not a large, acre sized buffet, however, it has some of the best fried chicken in the area. They usually also have fish, salad bar, soup, beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese and a few deserts. The price is always right for this buffet also. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it felt like good old fashioned hospitality! The entertainment was amazing to say the least! The regular Friday entertainment is Jeff Fuss and he does a wonderful job playing guitar and singing many country hits as well as a few other genre's of music with a country flair. He also does some originals as well and is a fantastic song writer. He was joined today by a friend of his named John Howell who also plays local and other gigs. John did a great rendition of Glenn Campbell's Wichita Linemen and a couple other songs. They also did a few together. I will add some pics as well as short clips of their performances. All in all, this was a very positive experience and we truly enjoyed ourself! If you find my reviews useful, please like by clicking on the thumbs up icon labeled "helpful" at the bottom. Last time we went I ordered the shrimp scampi. Honestly I think it should be renamed bc it doesn’t taste or look like what normal scampi looks like. It came out loaded with pepper. You can see it in the picture, it’s loaded on there! The garlic bread was hamburger rolls I believe. The waitress was the only one there and I don’t believe she asked how it was so I kept quiet. I felt bad because she was working hard. The next morning we got the breakfast buffet. It didn’t have much to offer. The little milk cartons were soggy from sitting in water. The pancakes were so tough we couldn’t cut them. I was never asked if I actually wanted the buffet or something off the menu. She asked about coffee and when we said no I can only assume she figured we’d have the buffet and grab drinks up there. The French toast is normally good but the waitress was pretty busy and we didn’t see her again until she brought the check so I sucked it up and got the buffet. My husband wanted a Diet Coke but since no one came to check on us he didn’t drink anything. Again I’m not blaming her. Honestly I still like this place just bc they are so friendly even though the food is hit or miss. Sometimes they have people there playing music so that’s definitely a plus!

The staff make this place, but the food is good and the drinks are not "light." Typical price for a hotel lounge, limited menu, but what you get is quality and large portions.

Food is sub-par, bland, and gives cafeteria vibes. Seems like it's catered to people of a certain age. Like those with sensitive stomachs or that can't handle salt and pepper. Wish I had taken a picture of the "Santorini Chicken" that was served a few weeks ago. Saddest little gray pan of food I've ever seen. Baked bonless, skinless chicken breast under piles of feta cheese. Nothing else. No seasoning. No color. Finance asked them make her a spinach and cheese omelet. They seemed irritated when she asked for feta cheese. (I guess they used every last crumb available making the Santorini Chicken 🙄). Omelet was browned, overdone, and dry. The normal breakfast staples were comparable to the free bacon and eggs you'd get at any other hotel's complimentary breakfast selection. Service was on point. The waitresses are always super friendly, on top of drinks, and constantly making sure the tables are clear of dirty plates. Wish the food was half as good as the service the wait...
