Tres Caminos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Martinsville

Staff were not adhering to social distancing guidelines when seating customers. Very disturbing. We had to personally move our table away from the other party that was sat within 2 ft of us. Most staff were wearing masks and our original waiter was so kind and respectful. Shortly after placing our drink/ queso order with our first waiter, our second waiter came out. He was not wearing a mask and practically stood on our table. He then brought out the wrong queso and got mad at us when we said it was wrong and told us the other takes longer. We wanted what we ordered. He then didn’t bring out our queso until we got served our meals. We had one person in our party who didn’t get their food until after the table behind us got their food (they came in about 25 minutes after us). Overall, extremely disappointing with not only their lack of following health guidelines but also with the service and the food. We will be reporting this place to the department of health. I came in during the snowstorm. I battled my way there after placing an order online. I got there, and they had decided to make the call to close early. I couldn’t blame them, the roads were rough, and only getting worse. I didn’t get my order, but what I got was some of the best customer service I’ve ever gotten. A sincere apology (even though I fully understood), and he sent me out the door with a bunch of chips, salsa, and queso. I appreciated that a lot, and so did my daughter. She didn’t get her “chicken and rice”, but she wasn’t too bummed when we left with chips and cheese. Just a few short months ago, I always picked Los Reyes as my favorite. Recently that’s been changing. With my last visit, you guys have completely won me over....

This is hands down the BEST Mexican place in Martinsville! I refuse to go anywhere else. The waiters and owner are some of the sweetest people. They actually encourage me to practice my Spanish with them (they have the patience of saints because I’m awful) and always know me when I come in. I always get the Arroz Con Pollo and anyone who eats with me takes one look and goes “wow I’m getting that next time” because it is so yummy. The margaritas are strong and delicious and their Queso is one of my favorite things in the world. I don’t even eat Mexican when I’m out of Martinsville because I feel like I’m cheating on Tres Caminos. Forever loyal to these...
