I called and asked how the salads were, knowing that often ordering a salad from a pizza place is a waste of your time and money. I asked the girl on the phone for her personal opinion, and she replied, "The salads are pretty good, they're made fresh right here."
Unfortunately, I took her word. My Grilled Chicken salad arrived, and upon opening it I discovered that "salad" meant a plastic to go box full of limp iceberg lettuce, some extremely warm slices of cucumber, three or four cherry tomatoes and a couple of slices of green pepper, also very warm. It was extremely disgusting, really only because that they just shoved a head of iceberg lettuce into a box and called it salad. The grilled chicken, I have to say, was actually good! Which threw me off. It was well cooked, and though bathed in pepper to give the taste-appearance of seasoning, I saved the chicken to heat in the oven later after giving up on the "salad" after several bites and tossing it.
I also got half of a cheesesteak sub, just in case the salad was bad. The huge parcel I got consisted of a soggy, gross roll of throwaway-class bread, and an even soggier inside. maybe if I had gotten Provolone instead of American cheese, my cheesesteak would have been less of a giant grease pile that tasted like the reason behind America's high rates of obesity and diabetes.

Read moreI just got back from my first buisness trip to Baltimore that I have ever taken. Because it landed on a weekend I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to bring my wife and three daughters (who are all very picky eaters.) Due to their pickiness the world renown Baltimore seafood was out the window so I needed a place that could accommodate to all of our eating preferences. A close friend of mine who went to college in the Baltimore area recommended A1. Being from the New York area pizza is a staple meal and it’s tough for other areas to compete. I am not exaggerating when I say the pepperoni pizza I had was right up there with the best slices I have ever had. My wife raved about the Philly Cheese steak that she ordered and said everything was perfect from the bread down to the peppers and onions. Even my kids thought their chicken fingers were incredible and I had to deal with a 4 hour long trip home asking if we could go back and get more. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Simon took my order and was extremely patient and even helped recommend things to do in the DMV area for the duration of our stay. Next time I’m in baltimore I will definitely be back and will tell everyone I know to...
Read moreI went in this restaurant on Saturday after calling in my order AND telling the man on the phone my name. I get in there and a man with a thick accent ask me if I ordered take out and I say yes, then give the same name I told them over the phone. This man still gives me the wrong order and I only noticed after getting outside. I basically paid for someone else’s order, so I get someone to go back in and get the right order. The man thick accent starts getting an attitude while saying that he couldn’t refund me my money back and instead of taking the $10 off my original $19 charge. They changed my credit card for my food and another person’s. They basically stole my money instead of either refunding or adding what was charged to my order. Then he said that it was changed to tip money. Why would I give you tip after you got an attitude? I won’t come back to this A1. They’re Thieves. This is a perfect example of how foreigners come into the community and disrespect other black and brown people. Some people just don’t care. I come to this A1 every other weekend just to be disrespected like this. The normal crew is nice but that man at the counter with the accent got to...
