So glad to see this friendly family run restaurant reopen and preparing the same delicious Italian food that they had when they were operating under the name Zia's prior to the Covid restrictions. Five of us went tonight to see if the same flavorful food was still available. The chef is from Italy and the menu offers a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes ranging from appetizers and sandwiches to entrees and pizzas. Each of us ordered something different and no one was disappointed with their selections of pasta dishes including meat lasagna. I had the chicken marsala with tagliatelle as my pasta choice. The chicken could be cut with a fork and the brown sauce with mushrooms and marsala was excellent. Many of the pastas are homemade and cooked to your specifications. Since portions are large, everyone had take home boxes when we left and we were all too full for one of their delicious desserts and coffees. A good selection of wine and beer is available to accompany your meal. The restaurant/trattoria is small so I would highly recommend making reservations for parties of 3 or more diners. Carry out is available and can be ordered on line for a quick...
Read moreGo for the pizza! Bland pasta and bad online ordering system... Giving these guys 4 stars, but it's really a 3.5. First off, the pizza is very good! They use fresh, high quality ingredients. If you're looking for Neopolitan'ish style pizza on KI, this is the only one I've found. The reason I give them 3.5 stars is because of the pasta being bland and the carryout order experience has been poor. The pasta that I've tried has been under-seasoned for my taste, however it's been a few months since I tried there pasta so maybe that's changed. Of the three times I've ordered carryout, the food came out way later or way earlier than they said it would. It would be nice to arrive and pick up my order still hot, or not have to wait 20 mins in the parking lot after the time they said it would be ready. I don't mind waiting for good food as long as I given a time to arrive that's within a few minutes of the food coming out hot. Just a little bit of communication would really make this a better experience. I have not dined in, so keep...
Read moreAvanti (Italian word that means move on) And that would be my exact advice to you, move on from this restaurant Macdonald is right behind you. Meatballs cut in half to make the portion appear bigger, and the fried calamari is a piece of a fried card board with no flavor whatsoever, for an Italian joint you would expect to smell and taste garlic, it wasn’t there and that was a big aroma disappointment. I ordered a Salmon and it came slimy and fishy tasted like fermented fish. I thought I was in a Korean restaurant for a second. Sent it back and ordres short ribs risotto and that was another big miss The risotto taste and look like baby food And if you love veggies they got it boiled instead of broiled or grilled. Honestly any average person can do a better job in their kitchen, even my wife who doesn’t cook can do better. Pictures speaks for themselves Two stars for the waitress The lady who checked as out was like how dare you say the salmon was bad instead...
