BAKED POTATO HOUSE — Restaurant in Maryland

BLUF: I do not recommend. Huge Shout-out to Sue. The employee, Sue, was amazingly nice! She was patient while my daughter and I stared at the menu picking from the limited options and asked my daughter specifically if she wanted to add or take away any options. Hopefully the restaurant takes care of highly deserving employees!!

Now for the location and food. The menu advertises ice cream, lemonade, and baked potatos...the location had neither ice cream OR lemonade and it was 2hrs after opening on a non holiday Monday!

The potatoes themselves looked healthy. However the pre-selected potato options are odd, for the example House on Fire ( or some similar name) has pickles, american salad (peas, carrots, celery in mayo), red cabbage, spicy avocado sauce, hot sauce, and cheese. That was the potato I got and it was terrible. I wanted to try it as listed since I'd never had it before and wanted to try it and pass judgement. My daughter had the House Kid (odd name). It makes a person think it's either the "kid meal" or would appeal to kids..neither was correct. That one had cheese, american salad, 2 types of olives, sweet corn and carrot shreds. Not exactly a "kid" potato. My daughter did not want the potato as listed she opted for no olives & american salad. Instead she got a 2nd cheese and broccoli. She said hers was good with her adjusted toppings and would order it again. Overall I found this restaurant lacking and a disappointment within 2mins of entertaining and asking for ice cream. Perhaps the manager can cover up the menu options that are NOT available, such as the entire ice cream menu and lemonade menu so people like myself and daughter won't be disappointed. Also dear manager/owner could you please provide your employees with restaurant shirt and name tag? Lastly the potato pre-selected options need to be re-thought about. Getting the potato and adding your topping from scratch would probably be your best bet for a delicious meal!

Let me start by saying that I love this place. The food is amazing and I wanted to give 5 stars so bad but there have been a couple times where I have ordered for delivery and even though the order was under my name, it would be partially wrong, or they would give me the incorrect item, which is fine because I enjoy their entire menu so I’ll eat whatever they throw in the bag! Went to try this place out after passing by it many times at the mall, as we had never been craving a potato before this, and it absolutely met our expectations! The worker was super friendly and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted, and chatted with us while she put it together. We tried the classic delights and she recommended to get ketchup, mayo, and hot sauce on top and it was a great recommendation.
