Bethany's Bakery — Restaurant in Maryland

Bethany’s Bakery in Cockeysville, MD has some of the WORST cupcakes that I have EVER tasted! They are super, duper DRY and the texture taste like what I think dry laundry detergent would taste like. I thought that the vanilla cupcake was really bad but then, I tasted the Chocolate cupcake and I thought that I was eating some kind of poison or bug repellent or household cleaner or something. Btw, I am NOT trying to be mean or harm their establishment in any way however, this is how I sincerely feel. - Their version of cream cheese taste like a cross between fluff icing, mediocre buttercream icing and a hint of weakened cream cheese icing. - I looked at the cookies and I could tell that the Chocolate chip and the Oatmeal raisin didn’t look like they should so it was no wonder when the cashier told me that both of those cookies along with the snickerdoodles each are all made from the same batter. 🙄 I wanted so badly to say, yeah, I can tell. - I mean no harm but Bethany and/or whoever the Baker is, TRULY needs to go back to Culinary School and FAST!!!!! - I wasted my money in this shop! Smh, terrible,...

I was super excited to try many of the different things that were in bakery case. Everything looked incredible! But unfortunately, nothing tastes the way it looked.

Raspberry bar- had zero raspberry flavor and actually had no flavor at all.

Cranberry Almond scone- Tasted like a cracker. I got no indication that it was cranberry or almond or a scone.

Vanilla cake ball- it was covered in sprinkles and that's was the only "flavor" that came from the cake ball; cheap sprinkles. The cake was extremely crumbly and had the texture of what you would expect from a gluten-free recipe.

Cinnamon roll- tasted like you would expect a Cinnamon roll to taste. This was the only pastry that had a good taste.

I truly appreciate the hard work that goes into baking! I wish you much success in your baking business... That is why I'm taking the time to share this information with you. I hope that you will take this information and use it for...

I am from out of town and didn’t know any bakery in Maryland for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. I was given Bethany’s Bakery and I called them. From the first moment I spoke to Bethany I knew I had made the right call. She listened to what I wanted and took the time to respond to all of my questions (and there were a lot). I told her my theme for the shower and she responded with a variety of designs. I picked a little bit from each design and Bethany put them together beautifully. The cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing. Everyone loved it especially my daughter-in/law which made me very happy. I know this is a long review but I want to convey how perfect working with Bethany was. I have done many events and rarely have I worked with such a caring professional. I wish I could give her more stars. Bethany’s Bakery will be my go to bakery for every event I do in Maryland...
