Got the order wrong, no attempt to fix it, no apology and charged more then what was ordered. Caprese - Tomatoes were pale, it had black pepper all over which I hate and there were only four slices of each mozzarella and tomato. Basil was minimal & chopped. Angel hair pasta - tomato sauce was barely warm, spicy hot and barely enough to cover the pasta. Three meatballs - room temperature, tough, barely had flavor and had a piece of gristle in it - probably from the quality of the meat.
The effort was there barely and this takeout order was a disaster.
I ordered lunch take out...a side of angel hair pasta w/ one meatball and a Caprese salad. Instead I got a full plate of spaghetti, three meatballs and a caprese - $18... LUNCH FOR ONE. The guy said this is what was on the menu and I didn't know and what do you want me to do about it? I repeated my order and he just stared at me like I should just pay the bill and be gone. So that's what I did. Thank you...
Read moreBiscotti is the best kept secret in Derwood, MD. I want to shout to the world that this is really an awesome little restaurant, with great food and some hard working people. I’ve had Italian food at a variety of Italian restaurants, and Biscotti is one of the best. The restaurant was packed tonight for Valentine’s dinner, and we had to wait a little for a table...my hubby got a little testy. But once seated, the timing of our meals was perfect. My food (red snapper) was delicious, and my husband said he ALWAYS enjoys the veal dish. My tiramisu was also fresh and tasty, and my husband practically “inhaled” his chocolate cake. This is someone who normally does not eat desserts. Also, the prices of the dishes we had tonight (and in general) was quite reasonable. Overall, the wait tonight was well worth it!!! Try this little...
Read moreThis is such a lovely little restaurant with some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had- and believe me, I’ve eaten a lot of Italian food. We had the arincini to start, I had the mushroom risotto and my fiancé had the gnocchi- all three dishes were a 10/10. The risotto was generous on the mushrooms & so so creamy with the perfect amount of wine & Parmesan. For dessert we had the tiramisu and trust me when I say you cannot miss it, it is clearly made fresh with lots of love. The service was also amazing, they made sure our waters were topped off and had lots of fresh bread. And when my fiancé walked away without my beloved risotto leftovers (I put him in charge because I also forget them often) they ran after us to make sure we didn’t leave without them! I can’t believe we have such a gem in a place...
