Wow. I thought I reviewed this place five years ago! My bad.
Five years ago this would have been an easy 5 star review. Not so much now. We used to absolutely love Chopstixx's (I have no idea how to make this restaurant's name possessive ...) food. We used to have them deliver probably 1-2 times per month. Now, however, their food is just not nearly as good as it used to be. I gauge my Chinese restaurants on their pork fried rice. Why? I dunno ... it's just my thing. A great batch of pork fried rice, as simple as it is, can really make my day. Nowadays very few places have really good pork fried rice. Chopstixxxxx's's's (however it's spelt) was phenomenal. Now it's purely average. As is the rest of their food, in our opinions. We go every few months (eat in) but that's been slowing down for the last couple of years mostly due to their food going south.
Delivery was fine back in the day. When we eat in now, however, the service is just not that great. They are very polite, but they absolutely don't do anything to go overboard at all. We were there just the other day. Our egg rolls, normally an American staple appetizer at Chinese restaurants came last. What's up with that?
So we won't be going to Chopstixx very often, if ever again. Hopefully they can bring their food standards back up to where they were five or so years ago. Our neighbors used to rave about this place. No...

UPDATE AUG 2020 3/5 Im very sad to see the quality has deteriorated here. The food is just not as good as it used to be. I was so invested in this place I actually contacted the owner. She barely spoke English so it was difficult to talk to her but what I did learn is that they lost their chef. It makes perfect sense now. The food is just not cooked properly. I totally get that there is a learning curve, but time after time the chicken would be overcooked, mushy on the outside and sauce was way to watery. It just goes to show they don't really care. If they did they would correct this quickly. But we tried eating there a few more times after this occurred but not change. I'd still say this is a bit better than most takeout Chinese restaurants around but definitely not what it used to be :(
Original Review: 5/5 Always good. The general tso has big chunks of white meat, the chow fun black bean sauce is a must try. I do wish they would bring back the crispy beef though, that is a hard one to find...
Read moreAfter forgoing carry out during the pandemic, about a month ago I ordered food here that was notably better than in years past. I had orange chicken that was moist, tender, lightly breaded, and mildly spicy; with fried rice that was moist and very generous with veggies; and hot and sour soup with ample veg and tofu. I ordered the same items today, but the food was nearly inedible. The chicken was tough, stringy, and dry inside and the seasoning so peppery that I had blisters on my tongue and couldn’t even taste the intended orange flavor, and the broccoli was raw, with no sauce on it at all, as if they stuffed a few bits in the container at the last minute because the “cook” forgot to stir fry it with the chicken; the soup was like brown gravy will little in it but mushrooms; the rice was disgusting: dry, flavorless, with about three tiny specks of carrot, one small pea, and one shred of egg the size of a fingernail clipping. I also got an egg roll this time, which was as tasty and toothsome as a toilet paper tube. I paid $30 for this, including a generous tip to the delivery person. Consistency in quality is critical. I resent...
