I visit coffman’s a lot. The employees are usually nice , especially the younger girls their customer service rocks!!! The lady cook who has a short cut completely ruined the love i had for coffman’s and their service’s. I came in this morning with intentions on trying something new because i always get the same breakfast sandwich. i got a chili hot dog which was covered in a light brown chili sauce that just didn’t look appealing. I respectfully came in and told the ladies it just didn’t look appetizing and before i could even suggest trying something else the lady goes to argue with me and tells me there’s nothing she can do for me because that’s how their hot dogs look and it’s what i asked for. I didn’t want to match her energy so i left the hot dog and didn’t get a refund for the food i paid for. After i left i called the store to get Stephanie Coffman’s ( who they said was the owner) contact information because the employees didn’t want to talk they wanted to argue. the lady then gets loud and rude over the phone. As i pull back up to coffman’s i walk in and the two employees are talking about me and the incident as i walk in. I tell them i would like to get breakfast and i will pay the difference. the cook with the short hair and headband around her head came to me yelling. “THE OWNER WILL BE HERE LATER” really raising her voice which then lead to an argument which an elder women that was trying to enjoy her breakfast joined in and got some too. The cook was trying to be intimidating and even stepped closer to my face from the counter. It is ridiculously unacceptable to treat loyal and local customers that like spending money with you. Wether you are a big restaurant or a family snack bar without customer service you have bad business. I would like to continue to feel comfortable to purchase...
Read moreCoffmans has been in business since 1947. I went there this Tuesday. Wow, it was their first "Salad Tuesday Day" for the summer. I wasn't going to get a salad, until I saw the chef salad a lady was enjoying. I ordered it and it was made especially for me, was more than I would normally eat, and was so satisfying I didn't want a nighttime snack later. I would usually order a salad for lunch, not dinner, but it really hit the spot! I strongly recommend it. I should have taken a photo, but I forgot until after I ate It. Lol It was beautiful, with fresh vegetables, turkey, ham, cheese and hard-boiled egg. A lot of people go for the hot dogs there so they are a big seller. The restaurant is always clean, and the waitresses are efficient and friendly. This place is right on my way home twice a week from the MARC train station at Martins Airport, so I eat dinner there about...
Read moreI used to love Coffman's. I have been going there on and off for 59 years. This time was very disappointing. Coffee comes with the breakfast my husband ordered but the waitress charged us for it. I ask for the receipt and didn't get it until it was paid for. I had to ask for it 3 times. The chipped beef was not good at all. The waitress scraped it across my arm when she was putting it on the table and got chipped beef on the sleeve of the shirt I was wearing. I tried to call them to tell them about the problems of that meal and no one answered so I decided I had no choice but to do this review. My Dad loved Coffman's and gave some pretty good tips throughout the 65 or so many years that he had been going there. He was probably going there since the day they opened. I don't think I...
