I went to this Qdoba in Middle river today, and they loosely filled a to go cup usually used for sour cream, for my upcharged Brisket protein. They then dumped this non packed mini portion in my tortilla, for full price. I called other local Qdobas and each said they do not do this practice, nor will they be doing it. The Boston Street Qdoba in Baltimore, MD; was one of these locations and the lady that answered the phone told me they've gotten multiple calls with the same question, and without me saying the location told me it must be Middle River again. I called the Middle River Qdoba, and an employee told me "We aren't corporate, we are a franchise. We can do it however we want." I explained to him that franchise owners have contracts with franchises, to operate independent locations according to franchise guidelines and rules, and they typically fine franchise owners for making decisions that change the menu, or portioning, without their consent. There's a proper process for permission to do something like this.
I've reported the incident to Mike Bradley, Director Of Operations; for Qdoba Corporate... directly to his voice mail... and I left voice mails for two other executives. There is a high chance that Corporate will take action to rectify this practice at this location and they will probably penalize the owner in some way for this occurring. That doesn't make me whole for getting under a quarter of the meat I paid for... I should have walked out and left them with the food... but I bought it in good faith knowing I was being ripped off... because I figured either this store, or Corporate will make it right. I believe that if I had left the food there partially prepared, it would have been a waste of the proper portions of the rice, the bean and the tiny bit of brisket that looked so exceptionally pathetic on the moderate amount of rice and small helping of black beans... and I'd rather be made whole later than waste food now. I'm sure Mike Bradley, or a member of the executive team will do something for me if this location doesn't make this...
Read moreI usually come to this QDOBA because the staff is usually nice and pleasant but lately some of there newer staff seem rude or inconsistent. I went today to get a bowl with citrus lime shrimp and chicken but the lady says I can’t do a half and half bowel with shrimp unless I get the surf and turf. But I tell her I have done that before many times before I’ll be doing a half half for both but she insisted that I can not do that. So to not cause a scene or be difficult I stuck to chicken. But the same lady made my brother bowel with both chicken and shrimp Half and Half of CHICKEN AND SHRIMP! . But yet the same lady tells me that I could not do that, on top of that I watched how she smiles and made my brothers bowel of what he asked for of shrimp and chicken. for one if she says I could not get chicken and shrimp as my meat opticians then she should have did the same for my brother as well. Or if she didn’t know but was made aware of the misinformation then she could had said something to me as I was still in the store I would had been open to a solution to rectify the misunderstanding. But no she continues to make my brothers bowel so it leads to me think was she purposely gender discrimination. This is the 4th time I can to this establishment here someone on there team is either rude or inconsistent. It really annoyed me and I don’t know if I would keep coming to QDOBA as there other locations isnt any better as the staff are rude or the...
Read moreI haven’t checked the other reviews so I’m going into this blindly based solely on my own experience giving this review four stars because of several things. Let’s start with the positive! The food was fresh, flavorful and filling. Most of the employees understood the assignment made it a pleasant experience. The menu was easy enough to follow. The environment kept very cleaning and inviting. The pricing fair.
Now the feedback for management: You lost a star at the register when the woman with the accent and braids told us we should have ordered chips and queso back at the start of the line and so we had to go back and do just that. It was a bit condescending and caused some confusion. The young lady on toppings didn’t seem to mind getting us the side of queso after our bowls had been finished, just the woman on register.
Coach that employee on the guest experience and do whatever you can to ensure the customer enjoys the FULL experience instead of trying to coach the guest and making them go back through the line about when and where they should order things. Tell the customer of course they can have that item the order and communicate that order within your team instead of demeaning what were first time guests and forcing them to back track through the line. You could have lost a sale. And this could have been a one star on...
