had to RUN to post this review as soon as i broke into my meatballs. i only get takeout as a “treat” and so i am VERY picky about the places i go being worth it. i will 100% be back here regularly. the meatballs over rice are amazing - the meatballs are well spiced and flavorful, the rice is PERFECTLY cooked, and there’s a little side salad that’s cold and crispy (no wilty lettuce here). for me one order is plenty for 2 full meals. i was advised the hot sauce was medium hot - i would give it 3.5/10 on the hot sauce scale so i can see it being suitable for just about anyone. my chai latte is also delicious, with a shot of espresso added. without asking it was made what i would call “half sweet”, which is perfect for me. i feel bad for not getting the name of the woman working today but she was wonderful, very personable and friendly, i felt very welcomed and obviously she also puts together a great meal & drink. there is plentiful parking both in the main lot and then some adtl spots around the side of the building. do be warned it was fairly warm inside - this didn’t bother me because i was taking to go, but it might have been a little too hot to comfortably eat inside. go try...

First time I've ever had Moroccan food. The service was incredibly friendly, not pushy or in a rush at all, and he went out of his way to explain the different options when I was asking what certain dishes are. He even sampled the different sauces so I could chose my favorite.
I had the chicken shwarma gyro and it was the best gyro I've ever had. I got it spicy with green and red sauce and the price was affordable, the serving generous, and the quality top notch.
The chicken was perfectly spicy to have kick without being unpleasant in the least. The vegetables were fresh and added a good contrast to the sauces and spiced meat. The feta topped it off excellently and the pita was soft and tastey.
I will be stopping here instead of McDonalds often now. Next time I'll try the Moroccan meatballs. The price is equal to McDonalds now if not cheaper while the food is incomparably better on a completely different tier.
Now I know I enjoy Moroccan food and the restaurant has high quality classic American options too like burgers for kids or people who prefer that - but do yourself a favor and give the Medditeranean food a chance too it's...
Read moreMy husband and I came by in the middle of the afternoon while running errands and so far our day hadn’t been going great. As soon as we entered McRuta and were greeted with such genuine warmth, that changed. This meal made a disappointing Saturday spent wandering around big box stores infinitely better. I got the lentil soup, which was perfectly spiced and savory (but not too salty—a perennial difficulty I have with restaurant soup!). The falafel pita my husband ordered was freshly made, crisp, fluffy and crunchy all at once—balanced by the wonderful pickles, tzatziki and caramelized onions. Get the hot sauce! It adds zip without overwhelming anything. You can tell how much care and thought has gone into the food. It felt like being fed by family. This place is bonkers good and I’m only disappointed I don’t live nearer to it or we’d be regulars. Show them love so they...
