Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Maryland

This creamery has an impressive selection of ice cream flavors and toppings, which is always a win in my book. I’ve also had their ice cream cakes, and they’re definitely worth trying! However, my first impression walking through the door wasn’t the best. The place could use a serious deep clean. The customer service was just okay—not terrible, but nothing to rave about either. One thing that really caught my attention was the lack of ingredient details and allergy information, which is a big deal for many. Also, they don’t offer samples of most flavors, which felt like a missed opportunity.

Now, about the ice cream itself—it’s good, but I’m a little concerned about the sugar levels. The cone I ordered was so sweet that I couldn’t finish it, and the cone itself tasted stale, which killed the vibe for me. While I wouldn’t say it’s a bad spot, there’s definitely room for improvement. The long lines and high prices make me question whether it’s worth coming back for a treat that didn’t fully satisfy. Ordered a cake through the cold stone web to be delivered. Delivery never came @4:15 called cold stone. Was told there looking for drivers to deliver. Asked now what am I to do now and what are you going to do for me !!! Mind this was a birthday cake for my grandchildren’s mother!!! He said the manager Matt I can give you some free waffle cones, but you have to pick the cake up now if you need it now!!! Or cancel the order!! I canceled the order and my grandchildren were waiting all day for this cake and to sing happy birthday to there mom. This place is so unorganized and the Manager needs to be fired!!! I will call corporate! Plus my family had a two hour drive home and I would of picked the cake earlier no one answered the phone. His answer to that was we are very busy! Please go somewhere else for your cakes the manager is running this...

Cold stone ice cream is great, but this location is horrible. I waited outside for someone to leave. I enter the store and the guy working literally yelled at me to go back outside. For some reason i stayed and ordered. I ordered a premade ice cream flavor but specifically said no sprinkles. The first thing this guy does is plop the ice cream on the slab and then dump two big scoops of sprinkles on it. Then he realizes he makes too much for what the to-go container can hold. Instead of removing some, he pushes the lid on, until ice cream oozes down the side, all the while it’s being held against his dirty work shirt. He then just puts this dripping catastrophe into my to-go bag and hands it to me. Completely mind blown at this point as to how this guy is employed there. Neither associate was wearing a name tag, so can’t relay this info...
