I came to eat with my family and before we ate our meals I had went to the bathroom to wash my hands and I had dropped my phone and it was left behind for a few minutes. I was trying to call my phone and it went to voicemail, I also used find my iphone and it stated it was in the establishment still. I asked the waitress if someone turned in a missing phone. The lady who works there the tallest one is very rude all the time and she told me the cleaning lady had turned it in. So if they knew someone was missing a phone, why didn’t they say anything. Also my sibling saw the cleaning lady come in the bathroom after us double confirming it was her who had saw the phone and gave it to the manager RUDY. I asked the waitress for the manager because once they gave me the phone someone had intentionally turned my phone off on purpose to keep it. The brunette haired lady caucasian the tallest one was being disrespectful and stated “how did I know that someone had turned it off, and if I saw the cleaning lady turn it off?” , trying to justify their actions. The phone was on because I was using it and someone turned it off. From a distance I saw that the manager RUDY was looking irritated that I asked for him and I told him why was my phone turned off and in the office. As a manager their job is to ask customers if a phone is missing. They tried to keep it quiet and to keep the phone and from his own mouth he stated that the phone was taken to the office and was laughing. He acted clueless when I asked why didn’t he come to address the issue and ask customers if someone had lost a phone. He stated he did not know , he lied and stated a customer turned in the phone which is false because his own employees stated the cleaning lady had turned it in. He wanted to keep my phone which is theft and turned it off so I wouldn’t be able to find it, he tried to lie and brush me off with an attitude stating that I already had the phone already anyways. That is not the point but my issue is that the manager of this placed tried keeping my phone since he stated it was in his office. Very unprofessional and rude employees that work here. I expect corporation to reach out and explain if this is how Denny’s operates. Be cautious if you come here since employees here is willing to keep your belongings and think “turning it off” will not let you know the phone is in the...
Read more"0 stars" "0 stars" On 7/27/25 my children and I arrived at the Denny's at 1am. The restaurant was empty aside 1 other person. The waitress mentioned there would be a 20-25 min wait and we agreed to wait. However we waited 1.5 hours before we received a fraction of what we ordered on our table. The waitress made an excuse claiming they had to clear oven of other orders, however we did not witness any order pick ups for Door dash etc. After waiting 1.5 hours the female waitress w/ brown hair failed to bring eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and a steak "to go order". This all added up to around $70 before tip. And not to mention the few items we actually received was burned and disgusting. My son and I WITNESSED a man walk in and HE was SERVED everything we were MISSING from our order, all with in 20-25 min of sitting down. We observed the waitress for 5-10 more minutes to see if she would attempt to bring the rest of the order and she did not. I told the waitress I WOULD ONLY PAY $5 for drinks bc the food remained on the table untouched. She very nervously asked if there was a problem and I actually explained the problem. I'm not sure if this stemmed from ignorance, racism, or incompetence. The restaurant LOST out on a $70 order and the waitress doesnt have to worry about tax on tip bc she received $0. This review will also be posted on the hotel websites near this location. So that people will consider whether or not the drive is worth it. We drove 30 min to get there only to watch SOMEONE ELSE eat. The same morning several hours later we ate at a extremely busy Denny's in FREDERICKSBURG MD. The waiter didnt even need to write down our order for a family of 4 and there was absolutely NO issue.. Food was timely, order complete, and delicious at another location and NOT this one! Feel free to...
Read moreWe had a very pleasant experience at this Denny’s! There was no wait when we arrived, and the staff was extremely friendly—seating us right away and kindly letting us know what they needed to do. Our server was wonderful: prompt, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing.
The booths were very comfortable, despite a bit of visible wear and tear. We appreciated that the seating didn’t sink in too much and still felt cozy. The overall atmosphere was clean, with tidy tables, well-maintained carpet, and ambient lighting that wasn’t overly bright. Classic booth seating was available alongside standard tables, which gave it a warm, familiar diner feel.
We ordered the half order of zesty nachos, and it came out hot, fresh, and delicious. There was a great chip-to-topping ratio, and the portion size was just right for 2–3 people to share as a starter. It actually made me curious about how big the full order must be!
For our main dish, we had a steak entrée that came with garlic bread, broccoli, and red potato chunks. Everything was very soft, tender, and easy to chew—something I really appreciated. I ordered my steak medium rare, and while the photo on the menu made it appear a bit more red or raw than expected, it was actually juicy and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised!
The food overall was fresh, came out promptly, and was cooked to our expectations. The only downside to our visit was the humidity inside—it made the space feel a bit stuffy, and my husband was even sweating at one point. However, that aside, we truly enjoyed our meal and the friendly service.
We will definitely be returning. It’s a great family-friendly spot and, in our opinion, a better experience than the IHOPs we’ve been...
