Dulce Vida Bakery — Restaurant in Maryland

I do not recommend this place at all. All the cashiers are rude. I have been ordering cakes for my family for every birthdays for many years. They made my daughter’s cake wrong and I called to inform them that the cake was not made to my request, and I spoke with the manager in charge of the nightshift (her name is Reina) and she did not apologize and said that what I ordered is what I get. I informed her that it was not what I ordered and requested that they remake the cake. It was a small cake for 10-15 people. She continued to argue for 20 minutes until I asked her what she was going to do to make my order right. She stated that she was going to give me another cake if I brought her my cake with the pieces that the invitees had already bitten into. I took the cake back to the bakery and when I got there she changed her version and said that what she wanted was the whole cake with the pieces bitten into and she did not give me a new cake. I asked her for the name of her manager and she stated that she was entitled to not give me the name of her boss or the phone number. It is sad that they do not recognize or treat their best customers with respect or show value towards them. The only reason I ever buy from their bakery is because they make fresh day to day bread. But they have lost me...

I don't like at all the cashier was not nice to us. Here's the story "I spoke to there boss Ruby Friday after and she said we can meet up Monday at 2pm and I said okay I will be there at your store and I told her my daughters party is July 25 this Saturday so I really need to order her cake so I came Monday at 2 pm and she not even thee I tried calling her many times she did it answer the phone at cashier in front of me there like talking each other and laughing each other I knew at that time they are tolking about us I don't know what I did to treat us like this!, I told to the lady can u try to call her because I keep trying to call her and txt her she never answer and not even reply my txt so I was like is "this the real #!" But the lady yeah with the attitude!, so her mom called her and RUby pick up the phone and I was shock!!! She answer when her mom called!so we spoke on the phone she said she will be late 30 minutes I said okay we will be wait, so we there they didn't even ask if we need anything nothing I brought my 2 kids with me waiting for 2 hours for Her and she did not show up at all not even saying sorry even the cashier they don't know they just laughing at US they are so mean!!!! So what I did we just left they are so Rude to Ask if I were u guys don't trust...

My mother ordered a cake 2 weeks prior to the celebration. When you placed an order in advance they required a $20 deposit. When she came to pick it up she was asked to wait while the ladies were just talking. After 15 min waiting, my mom asked them if they were going to assist her or not. They rudely ask what she wanted and she stated “I’m here to pick up a cake”. The ladies proceeded saying that they didn’t have her order - so my mom asked for her $20 deposit back. They asked her to show proof she ordered the cake. Thankfully she brought the receipt and they were able to provide her the cake.

Avoid this bakery and if you do place an order in advance make sure to save your receipt as they will keep your money. Another customer was faced with the same issue while we were there.
