I HAD A COCKROACH IN MY FOOD!! 🤢 I asked for scrambled easy eggs with green pepper... when I saw the dark things, so I started separating the pieces... the server stopped by and asked me if everything was OK,I told her to take a look, and she replied: that's just toasted egg, I asked to talk to the manager and she said she was a manager, they didn't want to see it or accept it... and then another guy approached me and told me to leave the place, I just stood up and got out. I believe he was the real manager....no one apologized.. He got out too and told me that -because of little people like me, Hispanic business owners don't succeed - Then went back inside. I don't care where are you from, you should have the right sanitary conditions and some ethic and respect won't be bad either.
Read moreI am a gringa. My family is mostly Irish but we love pupusas. My dad grew up down the road from here in Chillum. He got his vaccine near here and we looked up good Salvadorian food before his appointment. My husband and I accompanied him and we all came here for dinner. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. As the only gringos in the store, sweet Claudia came over and helped us. Between my small amount of Spanish and her small amount of English we ordered an amazing spread of food! 7 pupusas, carne asada with the BEST RICE and BEANS EVER! And the special with chicken empanadas with the addictive dipping sauce. They also had fresh squeezed pineapple and cantaloupe juice.. OKAY! E.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. was AMAZING! We were licking our fingers and planning our second visit for my dads second vaccine!! This is our new place for good Salvadorian food and we are driving from Davidsonville (near Annapolis!) Come here and bless...
Read moreThe food here is absolutely phenomenal. It's small, but this place is an absolute must-go. For our party of four, we were seated quickly - even with split checks and all, service was quick and efficient.
Specifically, I ordered the mango y piña fresco naturale, a chicharron y queso pupusa, and the yuca con chicharron. Everything I had was amazing. The flavor profiles, the portions - I can't wait to try everything else on this menu. At the end of the meal, the manager very kindly brought out some flan for us "because it was our first time (there)"! That was the final, wonderful touch to the meal: a house-made flan of astonishing consistency with a line of whipped cream and exactly the right amount of fresh fruit to go with.
This place is a wonder. Make...
