Dunkin' — Restaurant in Maryland

We really like dunkin' donuts overall and will go out of our way to visit one about once per week. This particular location has a serious service issue that is mind boggling. They will take orders and after you pay often will ask you to park out front and they will promise to bring your order out to you. Obviously, they are trying to speed up their drive-thru service. But really they're slowing it down tremendously. Basically if they don't have the order ready right then, you are a candidate to be parking out front and waiting. This creates a comedy of errors as runners will come out and go from car to car trying to figure out whose order is what. It is not uncommon at all to be given the wrong order or for two cars to be giving the others order at the same time, creating some awkwardness amongst all parties. Additionally, there has been occasions where someone is trying to leave add nearly backs over the runner who comes around to another car it isn't seen by the backer. Most of the time, I will have to go back into the store after parking out front either because the order is wrong or things are just taking too long.it would make a whole lot more sense simply to take the orders that are right in front of them and work on them one by one, your drive-thru post a time might be a little longer, but it would be a lot more organized and efficient. It's no question that if you have someone wasting a lot of time running in and out of the building with orders that they could instead be making the orders the speeding up the...

My wife stopped and ordered/pre paid for 3 dozen donuts to be picked up the next morning for my daughter’s school. Lucky she paid with a cc because the person who took the order asked that she leave the receipt with our name/phone number on it. When I arrived to pick them up I spoke with the manager and was told they didn’t have a pick up order for me….they had no record of the order we placed and asked for the receipt..which I told her the employee kept. I went out to my car to get my phone and called my wife. She confirmed that she placed the order, used her cc and that the employee kept the receipt. When I got back to the counter the manager did not acknowledge me and it wasn’t until I spoke to her that she said they found the order and that the employee did not follow order procedures. Not much of an apology and she blamed the mistake on her high school student employees because they make mistakes. I’m guessing it’s more of a training issue on the managers part….i asked the manager for a copy of the receipt to which she replied she didn’t have it and would have to look for it. She took my number and said she’d call me. Haven’t heard from her and don’t expect to. Because of the mistake my daughter was late to school. I had stopped going to this location because the service was regularly slow…won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend...

The order arrived in a good amount of time. However, the special holiday flavor for this month, I was told they couldn't do it frozen. I know they completely lied to me because I went to the Dunkin on Dual Highway a few days later. I ordered the same exact flavor and frozen, and they did it frozen! Please don't use the Penn Avenue location! Their blender isn't broken, because I tried a different flavor frozen in the same week, and they did do it. It's strange, they can do regular flavors frozen, but not the special holiday flavors? The Dual Highway can do the holiday flavors frozen, but not the Penn Avenue location??? Something tells me, some people at the Penn Avenue location are being lazy, and don't want to spend the time to use the blender. It's not that hard and it doesn't take long at all 😅! If Dual Highway can do it, then so can any other location in Hagerstown. Again, their blender isn't broken. I even witnessed someone before me, getting a frozen coffee the same day I ordered. So it felt really strange being told they couldn't do it. A holiday flavor shouldn't effect if it can be done or not, because Dual Highway did it, Maugans Avenue, and Garland Groh Blvd did the same holiday flavor frozen too! I strongly feel lied to.

So I don't know what's up with the Penn Avenue location. Buyer beware! At least my drink tasted...
