Maryland, you are always so welcoming to us. I am in love with your state. Route 50 and the Bay Bridge you are smooth as silk. The days of moon craters are gone.

After doing some outlet shopping, we asked some store employees where was a good place to eat. Fisherman’s Inn was highly recommended so we came here for dinner. The hostess couldn’t have been nicer. As we entered the dining room, we noticed how clean it was. Management is definitely following the pandemic regulations.

Emily, our waitress, was very confident and competent. She was in total control of her station. With her guests, Emily was very attentive and gentile. She was open when we asked her questions regarding the menu. We were very impressed.

Chef and kitchen crew, you need to wake up. If I wanted to eat lukewarm food, I would have eaten in my car in your parking lot. We ordered the Fried Calamari and a cup of the Chesapeake Bay Cream of Crab soup. The calamari was nice and hot. The soup was delicious but lukewarm. The house garden salad was perfect. The salad bowl was nicely chilled and all the ingredients cold and crispy . We were looking forward to our entrees (Crab Cake Match with Fried Oysters and Seafood Norfolk Sautee) being served. When the food runner brought us our entrees, we were warned to be careful because the plates were hot. The plates were barely warm and the entrees were lukewarm except for the cream of corn, which was piping hot. The crab cake was small and lacked the golden brown crust that broiling produces. The seafood Norfolk did not fill the dish. We were surprised by the quality and quantity of our entrees considering the price. This is what I call hit or miss and unfortunately we had more misses than hits. Chef, if the food had been hot and a bit generous I would have given you 5 stars. Your performance was unacceptable. Maybe you need to hire more food runners. lt has been a long year and now that we are returning to inside dining, your guests deserve a...

It was very busy on a Saturday night but they got us in right away which surprised me. The waiter was great, no complaints. The prices were ridiculous but then again what do you expect in this economy. Anyway we ordered two bowls of cream of crab soup. Mind you they are $10 each. Anyway, the waiter brought them out pretty quickly, and they were really tasty, but they were lukewarm. Now I am not one to send food back as I can tolerate a lot of things, but it was even too lukewarm for me and my wife was definitely not happy with it. So we send them back and he brings them out a few minutes later and they're still lukewarm, a little bit warmer, but still not hot! I don't know if they're fearing for a lawsuit by bringing out food that's too hot, but we sent them back and they still weren't hot the second time! My wife thought about sending them back again but I said no, we'll just get them packed and take them home. Then the main course comes out, and I ordered the crab imperial. Well it was really delicious but the portion was too small. I've been to G& M restaurant many times and they give twice as much as this place for the same price. My wife ordered the seafood platter and it was really good, the fried shrimp and the fried flounder, the vegetables, and everything else was great. My salad was good too but it's really hard to mess up a salad. Overall I give this place four stars because the service was good and the food was really good, but I don't give it five stars because you have to take out a second mortgage to afford to go here and for what I paid I don't expect to have to send soup back at all, much less possibly twice. I mean seriously, our bill was over $150 for just two of us and we can't even get the soup to be hot, not once but twice? ...

I've been coming to Fisherman's Inn for years, not regularly but everytime I'm on my way to the beach or spending the day at the bay. My grandkids love the place & I brought them today with their mom for a special treat. I've always appreciated the terrific service & friendliness of the staff. What a disappointment! Our server seemed to be inconvenienced from the gitgo. From the moment I asked for water for everyone at the table she had an attitude. She seemed hurried, impatient & indifferent. Normally I chat & joke with the wait staff & they make it really fun. Not this gal. When she brought the check she hurried to tell me that for parties of six there is an automatic 20% tip added on. I always tip at least 20% but that really rubbed me the wrong way that the service was so unpleasant & I had no choice. What a racket.

The food was delicious as always but more expensive with smaller portions. I understand that's the norm for most restaurants recently because of the economy so I'm not going to make a big deal out of that but I think if I'm paying $203 for lunch I should be getting a better experience than the one we got today.

Let me put in a good word for the lady at the hostess stand with the longer gray hair. When I spilled a glass of water & it went into my shoes she jumped into action & brought me some paper towel which was really nice. She wiped off the table & we were joking about the water accident. She made it almost fun & she was super helpful. When I bought a t-shirt from her later we had a nice chat while she rang up my purchase. That's the kind of service I've always enjoyed at your restaurant. As to our server I don't know what was going on with her today but whatever it was she shouldn't be taking it out on...

After a recommended restaurant in Saint Michael's proved to be still closed for the winter and the other restaurants looked too crowded to safely dine in, my wife and I used Google Maps to find seafood restaurants right off 50 near the Bay Bridge. This was a great find, by the exit and plenty of parking, and plenty of room for us as the dinner rush was picking up on a late Saturday afternoon. Great calamari appetizer and fresh veggies for salads and the sides with our entrees. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it took a while for our entrees to show up after we finished me appetizers, making me worry that I would be dropping my wife off late for work back up in Baltimore, but the food came through in the nick of time. This was understood because I've worked in restaurants before so I knew that service was delayed by the evening shift staff coming in and switching off with the afternoon shift. The waitstaff and bussing staff indeed checked in with us and did their jobs well, so I guess I'm just withholding the 5th star because of a soggy crab cake. My tip to readers is to get the crab imperial, which is served in a clamshell and is crispy and delicious. The crab cake is worth getting if you get it with the imperial and an appetizer to fill you up, just take the crab cake home and have it as a midnight snack. The Fisherman's Inn crab cakes are at least really meaty, and therefore very good when refried in butter once you get back to your own kitchen. Enjoy!

3.75 out of 4 stars. Good food but the prices are high, which I understand because of it's location. I can eat for half that in the same quality restaurant in Florida. But I wasn't in Florida. Filet mignon was great but get rid of the onions, they're dated and hide a good piece of meat. The mashed potatoes are generic, they need some kind of seasoning and butter, my suggestion is more mashed than creamy. Revived me off boxed potatoes. For being in what's essentially the oyster capital of the known world, you're asking market price for a half order, like above, I understand it's the area. Both oysters were brought out hot and tasted great. The Rockefellers were a little watery but not enough to complain about. Lobster tails could have been cleaned better, they tasted ok, not amazing, they could have been fresher considering how busy of a place it is on a Saturday night. Hard to complain about them at only $10 a piece for their size. Wait staff was great, I was seated immediately, she kept my glass full, was cheery but not overbearing, and she took care of the other tables just the same. She was tipped 25%.
