I don't leave negative reviews, as evidenced by my profile. The owner replied below. That's not what happened. She is good at running cover and has an anger problem. If you can't say something nice, don't say it; that's my motto. I had a meal and drinks, pub grub, that's it, perfectly fine, I'm not going to complain. I got what I asked for. After dinner, I walked towards the pool tables to play a game with my special needs child. I realized the payment method/system was a little more complicated than I expected. I placed my (dry) beer that I bought from the establishment temporarily on the felt. You would have thought I had pulled a gun, the owner comes over(very fast like a secret service agent) and accosts me about my beer and the $6000 dollars it will cost to fix the table. I could replace the table for a fraction of that. They did not pay $6000 for these junky tables. It costs nowhere near that, I own an antique CONN Brunswick so don't do that to people. I think I paid $400 last time I did it, full replacement. 20 second beer sweat does not damage pool felt. My table is much larger and nicer than these tables. Nobody wants their property damaged. I get that, but you cant make up numbers and speak angrily at customers. My whole family witnessed it. Then another person comes over and accosts me!!! Zero damage occurred. Save your anger for when it does and put up more signs. A polite reminder would have been fine. I would have been happy to oblige. There was a guy clearly trying to gain favor with the owner, who came over and attacked me. I did not push back. I pushed back at the MANNER in which I was confronted. This person described themselves as the owner. That is why I am leaving this review. People/reviewers too often punish a place for an employee who may or may not have any loyalty to the owner; truly think about the connection between your complaint and the owner, yes reviewers, think about it before you leave a review. This place is a dump ( not in the business of hurting anyone's business). Despite what the response may be, this is exactly what happened. I am not exaggerating at all. Yes, they regret their actions. I left a nice tip for the server and left!. I will never go back and I'm a local!! The owner needs to apologize to me, but...

Blatant Discrimination, Do Not Go Here!

I had an absolutely awful experience at Fusion Bar and Restaurant, and I believe it was because of the color of my skin. From the moment I walked in, the staff made it clear they did not want to serve me. When I asked for a cocktail or beer, they claimed they didn’t have any and only sold full bottles which’s an obvious way of pushing me out. The way they treated me was beyond unprofessional, it was outright discriminatory and disrespectful.

No customer should ever be made to feel unwelcome based on their race. It’s 2025, and this kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you believe in basic respect and equal treatment, avoid this place at all costs. Businesses like this do not deserve support.

Reply to the “owner’s ” insult

A good business listens to customers, not attacks them. Your words show you do not respect people. Instead of fixing the problem, you choose to insult me.

This is why people will see the truth about your place. If you treat customers badly, your business will suffer. Keep ignoring the problem, and more people will know how...

It's pretty rare for me to go to the same place two nights running, on a weekend jaunt, but man am I glad I did.

My buddy and I enjoyed terrific food Friday night--(perfectly seasoned steamed shrimp, killer burger with the works, yummy meat/rice/veg mix) as well as fabulous customer service, and the friendly assistance of a number of regulars who gave the lowdown on the area's nightlife. (I'm from out of town; buddy just moved to Silver Spring)

So it was back on Saturday for a raucous evening--as adverised--of .... Karaoke!

REALLY great DJ; and an Extremely supportive crowd. Wide variety of music (Read: not your standard drunken tired old Karaoke songs!)

Pretty sure there were several genres sung from like the early 60s right up to a recent movie soundtrack.

Also.... Pool Tables!!

Our experience of Fusion was awesome--starting with the Excellent Ce Ce at the helm, right on down to the hardworking barback.

This is the right spot to have a down-to-earth, chill yet super-fun night.

Can't wait...
