Happy House Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Maryland

Gyro pizzas are rare in the pizza world and so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered them on the menu. The first time I ordered I specifically requested the feta be placed on the pizza when it came out of the oven. By doing so, the feta cheese melts on top of the mozzeral retaining its flavor instead of being buried under the mozzerella. Sadly, this was not done but the owner without any hesitation took my pizza back and the feta was added. The pizza had tasty cheese, ample gyro meat and the crust was cooked to a nice brown and was the perfect thickness. Last Friday, I had a large group over and again ordered a gyro pizza, but added a taco pizza and cheese pizza. All three were cooked to perfection and were very tasty. Unfortunately. we ordered 20 wings and they were small and tasted overcooked. The wing sauce was tasty though the prepackaged Ken's Blue Cheese was underwhelming.

I would give 5 stars for the pizza and 1 star for the wings. I will add that the pizza has been excellent each time I have ordered and this has become my go to pizza place. Don't forget to order via the Slice App and save yourself...

Absolutely great pizza and subs. Not sure want the review before mine is all about. I have been eating at Happy House sense the late 70's and have always gotten a great meal. Service is great either way if you order in or take out the owner and his family take pride in their menu. Have made the mistake of trying a few other places thru the years and always come back to the best in the area. WE have learned and will not make that mistake again. If you want great food call Happy House you wont be disappointed. They also have the best cannolis around....

The food was soggy and cold. We ordered a sausage/pepper/onion a gyro and a small cheese pizza. The pizza didn’t come in a box. Instead it was in a styrofoam container used for any other takeout. This made the pizza get squished and all the cheese and sauce to be pushed to one side. The sausage sandwich was kielbasa not Italian sausage and the gyro came on a wrap not a pita. Finally the onion rings were very soggy and so bad we had to throw them away.
