The Twisted Bead and Rock Shop — Local services in Edgewater

This bead shop is well stocked and my wife was pleased with the selection. The staff is friendly enough, but beware. The checkout process is a hot mess. Two people involved in counting and cashiering is a recipe for mistakes (whether accidental or deliberate).

In our case, it cost us $5.35 more than it should have on a roughly $40 purchase, which we had no way of determining until we got home and audited the receipt (since they put all the loose beads in one bag mixed together). They failed to charge us for $1 of product, but simultaneously charged us too much per bead for one item (.25 instead of .20/ea.) and for too many of another kind of bead (8 instead of 2).

There are other places to buy beads and we likely won't...

I had a wonderful spiritual experience here and the lady’s here are amazing they played with my baby girl the whole time we were there and showed her all the cool crystals and beads she loved them a lot we even got her a quartz pendant to wear and she loves it and I got me a moldavite pendant and my goodness I have already started to have some odd stuff happen to me but it’s worth it I’m truly in love with my moldavite ❤️ And I will be back lady’s it was worth the hour drive thank you all so much and my baby girl said she will be back to get another...

Love this gem in Edgewater MD! This store has lots of different crystals and jewelry making accoutrement. My 17yo daughter and I took a jewelry making class and had the best time! The class was $30 pp, there were 4 of us taking the class at the same time. We learned how to make earrings and necklaces using a press that will imprint your design on the metal. You pay additional for the extra pieces that you decide to make. It was a fabulous time! We will definitely go back. As we were leaving they were readying for a birthday party!...
