Mixed feelings ... Definitely check your bill!! I can't stand is when prices aren't given. It's really inappropriate if prices are given and then charged a different amount. The services was great as far as my server was concerned very polite. The prices I saw I thought were a little high, but whatever if the food and service were good I wouldn't of minded. I did mind seeing an extra $5 on my bill thou. I also couldn't believe how much they charged for a small side of beans (and with as much as the fajitas were I couldn't believe they didn't come with any). They charged extra on our fajitas and the guacamole than was advertised. I had to show them on the menu. The server didn't know why so he called over to management. They agreed to change the price for the fajitas, but not the guacamole. They said they have to charge more bc the prices went up ... Ok then that should reflect on the menu. They said well we can't change the menu every time we change the prices ... Not an excuse to charge me an amount that wasn't advertised! You can always cross out the price and put market value. They refused to take it off because they then put the blame on the server for not telling me. He was more than apologetic for not telling me, but he clearly didn't know he was supposed to. He was going to pay out of his own pocket for it. I thought that was very nice of him and wouldn't let him because it still comes down to management/owner failing to properly inform customers. And if the customer wasn't informed they should of taken it off. I could care less about the $5 as much as it was the principal of not being honest about prices. It wasn't just one item they over charged me on. I spent almost almost $70 dollars there (not including the tip) and I would of been fine if that was what was advertised. I would of happily came back, but I don't think I want to go somewhere where my bill total will be a...
Read moreLoooooong time customer but last night might have been our final visit. We ordered a bunch of our usual items, they were so so at best. The fries were greasy as if the oil temp was too low. My Senor Chile was runny and meager, our sons enchiladas Rojas was dry and devoid of the usual cheese topping. The biggest issue though was the ceviche loco we tried. We wanted it as an appetizer but it came somewhere in between them dropping off my meal and the rest of the food, no biggie.
However, it’s not ceviche. It’s a heap of frozen then thawed out cocktail shrimp smothered in what amounts to spicy cocktail sauce. Not fresh ingredients cooked in acid. We took one bite and did something we never do, asked our waitress to send it back and remove from the bill. Waitress after a little back and forth returned (she was great btw) with the non-English speaking manager who then brought over a different Spanish speaking server to translate and walk me through the description of the item over and over, and over and over again. Like a broken record. However, I had explained to her that it was bad and we don’t want it. It was just terrible, call it what you want it was gross. You’d think if you were a regular and this one didn’t land this would’ve been simple enough. Nope.
She just wouldn’t relent, offering to box it up. WE DONT want it!!!!! Finally they took it off the bill but it made what could’ve been just an off night into a really crappy display with our kids watching.
That’ll be it for us at this place. We paid, even used up all our reward points, because like I said we’ve...
Read moreThis place used to be our favorite restaurant but lately has been lacking. Not sure what happened but the last few times we came it just didn't seem right. This time we came in, wife got a house margarita, I a beer. The margarita tasted very bitter, not sweet at all. It was like the lime juice was bad or going bad. She got another one with pineapple, which was better, but still had that bad taste to it. I got street tacos, wife got sopas with birria on them. My tacos were ok, and hers was ok, but just didn't have like enough spices in them or something. I don't know, just lacking something. My son got a adult burrito, just meat and cheese with cheese on top. Now here's the kicker. A kids burrito is 8. The adult was 13. Ok, go and get it that's fine. he asked for cheese on top, charged me another $3. and a side of bbq sauce, he like bbq sauce. a little tine container was another $2.50. Really? a whole bottle of bbq sauce is $2.50. so his burrito cost $18.50. For a burrito. wth. Anyway, I just think its maybe changed management or something and they are getting cheap with ingredients or something. I don't know, but will have to start looking for somewhere else...
