All I can say is, we were disappointed... My family and I really wanted to have a great experience so maybe our expectations were high to begin with.
We had the fish tacos, crab melt, kids pizza and a cheeseburger. The kids didn't mind their food or at least they preferred more to play on the play sets. After a long trip in the car this was awesome, 5/5.
However, the melt was a glorified overly seasoned grilled cheese sandwich with a little crab meat. It was meh, what was the real let down were the fish tacos. First I will say they looked AMAZING, my wife had two and then she let me have the last one because I was drooling over it.
Then the let down, the fish was bland, cold and the 'spicy' sauce was watery. Not exactly what I expected the roughly $20 worth of fish tacos to taste like.
Besides that we were greeted odly. The entrance wasn't clearly marked so first we asked if it was the entrance. After entering, there wasn't really anyone telling us if we seat ourselves or someone seats us so we started heading outside because the kids wanted to sit outside. The chairs were a bit too tall for their legs inside. Anyways, as we were heading in that direction the bartender(?) said they didn't do table side service so we needed to order our food at the bar before going and sitting down. During our entire time there we saw maybe 3 other patrons? It just seemed very standofish as though they didnt really want to serve us. After that our experience was somewhat normal.
There seemed to be a fairly major water leak in the ceiling from a pipe or something. Perhaps that could explain the odd customer service.
We certainly hope others have a better experience than we did. I was really hoping to find a special place to consistently stop at on our...
Read moreWe were so excited to take our family here as we have been previously been and had a great experience. We had dinner and then went outside to have drinks and listen to the band (6-19). We found an empty table & I was putting up the tiki brella so our group of 5 could sit around the table. As I was putting up the umbrella a waitress came over and immediately put it down & curtly told us the umbrellas went down at 8pm and no food was served outside after 8pm. It was about 7:50p and I told her we had already eaten and we wanted to get drinks & listen to the band. She stated it didn’t matter umbrellas were all going down. I was in disbelief over her actions & gruff attitude. My husband unaware had found another table for us and ironically with the umbrella was up. There was another couple who had witnessed my interaction and they both said it was ridiculous and they left. We went to the bar and got our own drinks, no server approached us. Have to say the drinks were less than stellar. Overall it was a -⭐️ review. My 22 daughter told us repeatedly how she had looked forward to going there last night and what a letdown it was. PS. A bushwhacker is a creamy drink almost like a malt frosty. Yours are the consistency of a watered down daiquiri. Complete disappointment in the...
Read moreI had a truly disappointing experience here.
I planned a visit to Deep Creek for a birthday celebration and created a full itinerary in advance. Based on multiple local recommendations, I was told Honi-Honi Bar was a must-visit, so I made a point to stop by on Tuesday, June 24th, around 9:00 P.
When I arrived, I looked around for a menu and didn’t see one, so I approached the bar. The bartender made direct eye contact with me, then looked away and continued chatting casually with two guests—who weren’t ordering (or even holding) drinks. I waited patiently, giving it a minute and reminding myself this was supposed to be a fun birthday trip. But when a second staff member did the exact same thing, looked at me and then ignored me, I walked out.
I stood there for over two minutes on what was clearly a slow night. No one greeted me. No one offered a menu or a simple, “I’ll be right with you.” There were no drinks being made, no crowds, no excuse for the lack of service.
It was disappointing and frankly insulting. Basic hospitality goes a long way, and unfortunately, I didn’t...
