Hysteria Taphouse — Restaurant in Maryland

I have been meaning to stop in since they opened. I saw the signs months ago and has been anticipating having a tap house so close to home. I went in on Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, so I took a seat at the bar and be closer to the action.

The place overall was quite nice with bourbon barrel top tables, a nice bar and a mix of small and large tables. They have a bookshelf stocked with games to play while you enjoy a beverage and conversation.

I like trying different beers, so I had several that I knew I'd like, plus a few samples of ones I had questions about.

The staff was attentive, knowledgeable and quite helpful with information on the beers and seltzer. It makes a difference in places like this.

Kudos to the staff and management for getting it right.

Since it is in the former video rental store location, It is quite fitting that two of the ones I enjoyed were "movie night" and " be kind rewind".

I plan on coming back in soon to try some I didn't try and new ones that will...

This taphouse had a very chill vibe. The beers were absolutely delicious. They serve flights if you wanted to try a bunch. Seems family friendly, there were a couple children there with their parents when I stopped in. The music at the time I went, was mainly pop-punk songs from the '90s, which I love. There are board games available to play. The TV's were broadcasting sports channels. There was a big screen showing a movie, and lots of DVDs. And finally, there was an arcade machine....

We had my husband’s 30th birthday here! Mark was super helpful and quickly responded to help us set up this event. If you are looking for a place to hold a special event, I strongly recommend Hysteria Taphouse. They sectioned off half the taproom for us and the bartender Shelby was amazing!
