We went to this brand new IHOP and we're quite happy. The food is typical IHOP, so you either like it or hate it. Obviously their specialty is breakfast and especially pancakes and they serve breakfast all day! The breakfasts are awesome, especially the pancakes. The lunch and dinner, well they are what you'd expect from IHOP. The lunch/dinner are good enough, but clearly IHOP shines for breakfast. This brand new IHOP is like no IHOP in the area. First it's in a strip mall rather than a stand alone. But when you walk in, wow, it has a modern sleek look. No outdated diner look here. But you still have the syrup choices at your table and the coffee carafe at your table like the regular IHOP. It's also much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside. This shopping center is quite popular and has very little parking. Pat's Select is right next door and is popular, Kick Connection is also popular located a few store fronts down. So parking is an issue, but you can park in the back, as the IHOP as a rear entrance, so check there if you can't find parking in the front. When we went it was empty, they had three servers, a manager and just as many seated tables. The server's did everything right; they came out, took our drink order, brought our drinks and took our food order. Came out and bright our food, took a little long, but not bad. A few minutes later she came to check on us, with the food attention I said we were good, even though my drink was half done. But then, since all the boxes were checked and no other tables to serve, she stayed in the back and out of sight. By the time another table for her came, she was helping them and didn't notice or entry cups and we could flag her down until two of us were dinner or meals. I've we asked we got the refill quickly. It seems that it's a training issue, yes don't prayer the customer, but walk by the eyeball drinks and bring new ones when needed. Be visible if needed. Other than the lung wait for a refill, service was good. Overall I'm happy with this IHOP. Much better experience than my last one at the Glen Burnie location. I will...
Read moreWhew where do I start! So me and my husband casually walked into this “establishment” to have breakfast. Upon entering there was no one at the hostess desk to great us. We stood around for a few and then a woman walked up and seated us. We sat down and waited for our waitress. I wish I would’ve caught her name. Nonetheless, we was asked what we’d like to drink I had a lemonade and my husband a coffee. We were brought our drinks and my husband poured his cup. His cup had random stuff floating in it as if the pitcher wasn’t cleaned prior to them using it. Then my husband proceeds to head towards the bathroom and to his surprise there was no soap at all. Hmm I wonder if the employees are even washing their hands. How gross! Anyways I send him to our car to get hand sanitizer since there was no soap. While he was retrieving the sanitizer I had opened our cutlery to discover that every piece of cutlery was dirty. Not just spotty, but dirty. I asked our waitress for new cutlery and she snatched the old cutlery off the table and walked away. She returned with new cutlery and to my surprise that set was dirty as well. At this point I sent my husband to the car once more to get some plastic forks I had in the car. The fact that I had to use my own cutlery in an establishment is crazy! Moving on she asked if we were ready to order and we were still glancing at the menu when she says “oh y’all not ready” and walks off. Didn’t even allow us 10 seconds to respond. Then I asked if they had English muffins, she replies “no” but with an attitude as if my question was bothering her. She offered no alternatives (ie. toast). By this point I had had enough I called a manager to the table named Julie and she was sweet but I was fed up so I no longer wished to eat here. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at all costs. It’s disorganized, they don’t have good cleaning practices, and some of the staff are rude! Save yourself...
Read moreIf it was up to me I wouldn't click any stars at all. My girlfriend also known as my wife to be decided she wanted to take me to breakfast. We decided to go to IHOP which was in the area. Ironically, I've always loved IHOP being it was my first paying job ever. Long story short, we arrived and were seated as expected. As we sat and waited, 20 minutes had already went by and I decided to waive down a server. Finally the host comes up to us and informed us that know one wanted to take our table. As the host she shouldn't be waiting tables due to workers compensation laws. But thats beside the point. None of the other servers were that busy to where we couldn't of been served. AGAIN, my first job was a server at IHOP so I know the drill. Finally the host takes our order. Its been 45 min already. As our order was being taken another party next to us came in. He received his food in no less than 15 min. We are already an hour in. The server in our section had a party of 6 and they were well taken cared of. She passed by us numerous times and even looked like she may have whispered "SORRY" to us. The other servers just looked at us while we waited. Finally we asked where our food was and the host told us 10 more min. After another 20 min went by we were fed up. The pet peeve I have in life is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you don't like dealing with people DO NOT WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. We asked for a manager and conveniently he was in a meeting. He comped our drinks and told us we can get 50% off our next meal. UMMMMM, who wants to come back after that experience let alone have to deal with the same servers on that shift. I am very appalled, disappointed and my girlfriend feels the same to the 10th power. I will no longer attend this IHOP EVER. I hope this complaint reaches the right person and corrects...
