La Sirenita Restaurant — Restaurant in Maryland

Firstly, I’d like to say that they would definitely have more ratings if the staff wasn’t so rude, arrogant and actually practiced good hygiene. My girlfriend loves to come here to eat, she loves Spanish food, but every time we have stopped in we have been greeted with nothing but nasty attitudes from staff who believe that they are so much better than everyone, no friendliness no professionalism, it’s truly disappointing. We came in and asked to sit and eat, but only one of us would be ordering considering I had already had a big meal, the host at the front looks at us up and down and with annoyance in her voice asked “so only one of you is going to eat?” We’re sat down and place our orders, we get our chips and see our waitress go and sit in the table right infont of us and just proceed to eat and gossip with the rest of her coworkers, forgetting the waters we had asked for. We hear the bell ring signally the food is ready and she proceeds to get up and get our food without washing her hands!! We ask for a refill on the chips and she tells us no because the first basket is free and the second is a charge??? Since when are complimentary chips a charge?? Terrible establishment, it would do a huge 180 if they trained the staff...

Good place with great drinks, homemade tortillas, and good food. Very nice for a quick bite with good prices, lovely atmosphere (partner says it reminds him of mexico) with music, art work, and people enjoying food. It can get pretty busy but if you come on a weekday or an off time you will find it easy to get a seat. Service is friendly and the menu is wasy yo navigatw and includes a lot of pictures. It's 4 star for me because of how the food compares to other places for my favorite dishes: mole tacos, and chilles rellenos. Good but not great here. The tostada my partner had looked amazing and the three tacos were a big enough portion that it was hard for him to finish everything. I took home half of mine as well after filling up on the banana shake (which is more like a milk with banana blended in but not frozen). I substituted refried beans for the regular...

Never in the many times I've been there has a waiter brought my order wrong. And after I tell her that my order was wrong I explain to her exactly what I want and 20 minutes later brings out the wrong quesadilla again, then tries to argue with me about what I order. On top of that she has her son bugging her while taking our order. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit. Had to take my daughter home hungry because the waiter can't get a quesadilla right. When you go make sure you explain to the waiter exactly what you want and ask her to repeat your order if necessary. Or you will have a bunch of rude waiters walking around huffing and puffing like as if you did something wrong to them. Good restaurant but bad waiter thanks to the manager who was very helpful.
