Little Far East II — Restaurant in Maryland

The good: ordering over the phone was fast and easy, and the food was ready when I arrived. Staff was very nice. Prices were very reasonable.

The bad: I ordered the combo lo mein, curry lamb, and crispy beef. The lo mein and the lamb were very bland. I know bland taste is common in most Chinese take-out places, but even with that considered, this food was especially bland. There was barely any meat in the lo mein at all, and for that matter there weren't a lot of vegetables either. It was really just lo mein noodles, with a few strips of beef and some shrimp tossed in. I couldn't even taste the flavor of the lamb or the curry in the curry lamb, and it really just felt like I was eating a vegetable beef soup poured over rice. The crispy beef was the one meal that had real flavor. It had a good amount of meat, sliced carrots, and onions, and the brown sauce was decent. However, compared to crispy/crunchy beef meals I've had at maybe a half dozen other chinese takeout places, I'd still rank this near the bottom. The strips were way too thin, and the sauce was average.

I know having a Chinese place in Damascus is probably not the easiest thing in the world, but this is one customer who would really appreciate it if the owners of Little Far East II would try a little harder to make their food stand out, instead of allowing it to...

The food was not good at all. It was not hot when it arrived because I just ordered it then less than 5-7 minutes later, it arrived. It was supposed to be newly cooked but the ones I ordered were not fresh and it was full of food coloring for orange chicken. It tasted nothing like orange chicken that we are used to eat. It was not hot and the rice was cold when it arrived. Why would they deliver too fast if the specials and four big orders should be newly cooked. So disappointed and I wasted my money ordering from this resort. I would not recommend buying anything from this far east restaurant at all. Disgusting food! This is the first time trying this restaurant. At first they were quickly attentive. Generous serving of egg drop soup. Appetizer, wonton in spicy sauce. Although it is had a good flavor it was swimming in too much sauce. For dinner I ordered rainbow chicken on a sizzling plate. First it did not come out sizzling second it was more like Hunan chicken and last it also was drenched in sauce. The staff at this restaurant certainly does not know how to multitask. There were only three sets of customers and the couple after me had to ask get up and summon someone to take their order. They almost forgot to give a customer their credit card back.
