Mackey’s Seafood Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Maryland

I will try to keep this brief: My wife had the Shrimp Special - The shrimp tasted as if they had sat out too long, had little seasoning and had a faint taste of burned plastic (the one I ate). We opted to throw away the food rather than eat it despite both loving shrimp. The rest of the food had the same tainted flavor. She was never offered cocktail sauce or any sauce with her entrée. I had the two Crab cakes meal: The crab cakes were edible, but there was far too much seasoning on them. The meat had the consistency of a canned tuna, but was crab. The sides for both the meals were not very good. I had to inquire about sauces as well. The hot sauce was an old bay hot sauce that added to the overly seasoned old bay crab cakes. The tartar sauce was unremarkable. Our children had kids meals that were from the frozen food aisle. Cheeseburger was underdressed, tenders were over cooked, onion rings were over battered and the batter never got crispy. End of the night, we spent $100 dollars for food that was worse than fast food. There was little to nothing redeemable about the food.
