McDonald's — Restaurant in Maryland

I'm old enough to remember that a part of customer service was a smile and a thank you. Now it seems to be no more than an occasional occurrence. Team members were clean with clean and ironed uniforms or were sent home and tattoos were hidden or they weren't hired and the food was always hot. Even as late as the mid 80's. Now it's clear management doesn't care about crew appearance or if the food is hot when served.

Even as far back as the late 60s and thru the 70's management cared that customers would be coming back and crew members were all in a neat uniform. You see, in those days it was a treat to go to McDonald's with kids for burgers and fries...not to mention there's nowhere now where the kids can play anymore while waiting for mom and dad and even the teenagers that came in together knew how to act and speak in public and actually had manners.

I came thru the drive thru the day after memorial day and was at the window to pay and waited about 1 minute for her to end her cell business before she took my money. I even took her photo to show my wife. Neither of us were surprised So, why do I go there at all you ask? It's usually fast and it's on my way to work. I've found that if you want a hot sandwich you have to ask for it to be lacking something like no pickles, no lettuce, etc. That way you get a fresh one. I take what I get on fries because if I ask for fresh they'll make me pull forward and wait but I don't want be a jerk and cause a slow done for the car behind me so I hope for the best on fries.

This place is cancer. Lady got an attitude with me for bypassing the speaker to order at the window. I did so because 3 people had their orders taken at the other line while I was waiting for someone to just say something to me in my line. I thought the speaker might be broken. She said that she was busy because she's handling both lines and I needed to be patient. Seriously? So, she's handling both lines, and she decides to run through, at a minimum, three people on one line and completely ignore the other? And without even asking the other line to wait a moment? Then she takes my order and forgets something, which I find out at the next window. Then they tell me to pull off to the side to wait. I wait 5 minutes, which sounds petty on my part, buy 5 minutes is a lot in fast food time, particularly when maybe a dozen cars got their orders behind me. This is maybe the 5th time I've been there. All the other times were incredibly slow, which is why I've only been there 5 times. Last time was actually an okay experience. Not slow, nice lady at the window. But that was an exception to the rule. And this experience today is making me never go back. Seriously, I'm pretty sure the opioid epidemic has hit this place. Everyone looks and acts like they're on something. This isn't true for the Taco Bell across the street or the Burger King down the street. I'll stick with them...

This place is down right ridiculous. We waited for 10 to 15 minutes on our order . Nothing special mind you .We didnt use the drive thru we went inside and ordered . We got out to our car and decided we would eat some of the fries so they wouldn't get cold before we got to our house which is like 3 no more then 4min away from there .well they were barely warm and salty to the point where you couldn't eat them that's how salty they were . We get home and grilled chicken we ordered came to us only it was a mcchicken but we sure did pay the the price for the grilled chicken . We ordered a bacon classic quarter pounder and we got a bacon cheese burger . We were going to go back down there but we just got off work and was tired and also we were very disgusted and didnt want to argue with anyone at this point . So we were hungry and aggravated so we ordered a pizza and had it delivered . We should have done that to start with . That McDonald's just lost two customers we wont go back . I know two people wont make much of a difference to a big place like McDonald's but if they treat enough people like they did us they might just find them self's hurting one of these days .
