So, we came here Sunday afternoon after taking two Ls with trying to find a brunch spot that didn't have an excessive wait time and let's just say that the decision to come here did not disappoint #Milk&HoneyforTHEwin!
First, let's start off with two nice to knows. The first is that this location has free parking that is proportionate to the size of the establishment. Secondly, this Milk & Honey is a little smaller than other locations, so, big/bigger parties may be a challenge to accommodate.
On to the food. Let’s just say, this location has made me believe that every Milk & Honey is truly NOT the same. Prior to coming here, I was a STRONG believer that Milk & Honey was overhyped. But, the food here has led me to understand what others taste when they recommend Milk & Honey.
The first dish that I sampled was the chicken and biscuits and they were perfect! The biscuits were fluffy and the chicken was fried and seasoned well. This is definitely a dish I will try again (at this location). Then to the sampling of the catfish. The fried catfish had the perfect amount of seasoning and crunch, so definitely a win there. Then there was the Berry and Cream French toast which gave that sweetness we desired without adding honey/syrup. Lastly, the dish that I ordered was the Award Winning Shrimp and Grits. The portion size of this dish is massive! This can definitely be one dish that serves multiple meals, if you aren’t greedy (like me) lol. The Shrimp and Grits were good, however, I would have enjoyed it more with more of that delicious sauce (which I requested and added after) and more pieces of shrimp (which added to the flavoring of the dish).
Lastly, the service was really good. We were easily and quickly accommodated with all of our request.
Overall, I would definitely recommend and will revisit when back...
Read moreWe were looking for some breakfast because we had gotten dressed to go to an event on Saturday, December 14, 2024. We happened upon this little cozy spot searching for breakfast places. This place is very small. It's not recommended for people with claustrophobia, otherwise, it's a nice place for a small family of 2, 3, or 4 to go have breakfast.
Maria is a sweetheart. She's very polite, mannerable, knows the menu, made great recommendations, quickly took our order, got us beverages, and plastic ware to dine with. The cold air from the front door when customers were entering and exiting, kept going up my dress while sitting at the breakfast bar, so I asked to move and Maria gladly accommodated us.
My husband had the Shrimp and Grits. He rated them high on his "Like list" of places he's compared when having this dish.
Our daughter had the sweet potato waffles, cheese eggs, and turkey sausage. My child is a very picky eater and she loved it! I was surprised she finished the leftovers later on because normally she doesn't. That means a lot to our family that she didn't discard food.
I ordered the Cheese and Egg Sandwich with Turkey Sausage. This dish is a bit of heaven on a plate. I'm a biscuit gal and I've been a biscuit gal all my life. This place slices the biscuits in half, tops them with the cheese eggs, and puts the tops on the side with honey butter cascading down the side of that golden brown biscuit with just enough crunch on the top with a nice soft, delectable inside. Have mercy! Lord, I could eat that every day. Highly...
Read moreI’ve been to this location 3 times in the last month. I usually have a great experience with them. Today was atrocious. The lady at the front desk, Maria, was so rude and disrespectful I asked for the manager and she said “I’m not calling him you can call him later”. First off she didn’t acknowledge me when I walked in until 5 min in. I was in to pick up the order and asked for a latte which she made. I took my order and latte to walk out the door and the lid was not secured on the cup or the heat from the latte was so strong that it warped the top so the latte fell all over me and burned my hands. I walked back in to ask for the manager and Maria refused. She basically said it was my fault and said the manager was off so she wouldn’t call him. I called the establishment and she refused to answer the phone and I couldn’t leave a message because the mailbox was full. This was the WORST experience I’ve had here or any restaurant and it’s a shame because it was great the first two times. I will be calling back and coming back to speak directly with a manger. Maria has no customer service, hospitality or respect. It’s unfortunate because...
