Spring Garden — Restaurant in Maryland

I ordered for delivery late night and food came fast. I ordered Singapore mei fun, and beef and scallops. The noodle was very good and I was able to substitute the pork for beef so that was great. Thank you for that. Although I was annoyed that the garnish/condiments I asked for were spilled when they arrived but at least it was in small packets so it didn’t spill all over.

As for the beef and scallops... :( maybe it was my fault, I usually have a reservation about where I order from to satisfy my craving for seafood, and usually do so from restaurants that actually specialize in seafood. That way I don’t have to blame a restaurant for getting it wrong if that was not their specialty to begin with. In this case however, I figured since I saw good stars for sushi and was in the mood for some scallops, figured I’ll try it. That was a bad idea. The scallops were so rubbery and the beef was so slimy that I just could not take another bite. The beef especially was awful. I mean I can understand rubbery from being overcooked probably from just being reheated but the beef just indicated that maybe the dish was going bad. I'm surprised at the 4 and 5 star reviews. If you look at my profile, I'm an easy man to please with Asian food. This had to be one of my worst experiences out of the several cities I've lived in. Our Singapore Mei Fun was bland (and that's my typical go to for every new Chinese restaurant). Our green beans were mush. Our wanton soup was literally so bad we spit it back out; the wantons were grainy and the soup smelled and tasted foul, like dirty pipe water. Even the fortune cookies were old and stale that we spit it out. The plain white rice was somehow the best part of the meal, and to be fair, the salmon roll and dumplings were decent. Spring Garden it’s one of my top 3 fav. restaurant. I’m glad they are taking very serious precautions against COVID-19 and wearing PPE. As a business owner myself of a retail store and open to the public in phase 2 my opinion about Spring Garden has slightly changed: The lady bringing my food to the window was rude asking me to step back when I’m already wearing PPE myself (mask and goggles and she is as well) I will remind the owner of this place they will open to the public one day and learn to live in a world with a coronavirus which is here with us for a while. “Adjust to the new NORMAL keep your customer...
