Pastore's Italian Delly — Restaurant in Maryland

My first time at Pastors this morning, I love these little places with big personalities! I decided to go with their number one selling sandwich, the Italian cold cut sub. It was terrific, best Italian sub I've ever had by a mile!

Truth is before I was never a been a big fan of the Italian cold cut. It seems like there's always an overpowering salami that screams "I'm here" Pastors sandwich was in total balance, a lot of meat and a lot of flavors working together! I think they had a parmesan dressing that was a great compliment I'd never had that before. The sandwich is big enough that I brought the other half back to Virginia, my son loved it.

Pastors sandwich already has me thinking about Mondays lunch! I tipped off my guys, that I have the perfect place for carry out on...

I used to come to Pastore's with my mom when I was a little girl. I'm now in my mid 20s. I kid you not, I haven't been here in a couple of decades. Something made me think of this place one day, I don't know what it was. I had eaten too many mediocre subs from other places and realized I was tired of franchises. I went into Pastore's on 10/3/17. The place even smells the same lol. It's amazing how certain smells can trigger memories from your childhood and make you feel so euphoric on the inside. Everything also looks the same (the pictures on the wall, the decorations, etc). I ordered an Italian sub, absolutely delicious!!! It tasted very fresh. I'm so happy I rediscovered this place, I will definitely be coming back...

I wanted a while to post this review because I wanted to come back and give them a try before posting, it's been over a month and I haven't made it back yet so here goes it. I had a taste for an Italian cold cut, when I got there the gentleman behind the counter told me they just made the "Muffalettini" sandwiches so I went on and tried it.

The Muffalettini has homemade olive salad, salami, capicola, pepperoni, mortadella, smoked mozzarella and sharp provolone on Vienna bread. It all sounds delicious but fell very flat to me. I've had better olive spread from a regular grocery store, the bread was extremely hard and the over all sandwich was so dry! I wouldn't get this again but I would like to visit again and try the...
