The past few times I've been to this location it has been ok with the exception of the last time, when they ran out of strawberries, however substituted it with bananas. I was ok with that substitute. Today I placed an order at 1:53pm (4 smoothie bowls), and it stated it will be ready at 2:30pm. I walked in at 2:30pm to pick up my order and it was not ready. I was ok but then noticed that they never made it from the beginning and people were coming in after me receiving their order while I was still waiting. The associate asked me about adding coconut to to my bowls and I said does it comes with it. She replied no but we can add it because we are out of blueberries. At 3:06pm my order was finally ready but wrong. The bowls had mangos in it and I asked was it suppose to be there because I said bananas. The associate said no it doesn't you ordered this type (Picks up a receipt on the side which was someone's order because clearly it wasn't mine). I left my phone in the car which contained my confirmation and thought ok I must have ordered something different this time by mistake, I'll take that if it was my fault. By then I had to hurry and get back home for work and checked my phone and receipt and they lied. I have been calling and calling and they have not answered. I would like to go back but a severe storm is coming and I had to log back on to work. I will start going to the Bowie location because this is ridiculous. Don't lie to me about what I paid for. These smoothies are not cheap. Keep in mind they called and asked me what did I want to replace the blueberries with since they were out and I said bananas/strawberries/granola - you can mix it up so why would you tell me it doesn't come with bananas. It does when you're out of what is suppose to come with it. Dispute....

Read moreUPDATE: Smoothie King was prompt and friendly in their response and response time and made an offer to make the situation right. That's good customer service. Normally have a good experience here, but today's experience was just plain bad. I don't know if everyone working there was completely new or what, but the cashier was super slow with every customer. Seemingly because she didn't know how to ring things up. We ordered a smoothie with the skinny option because the menu said we could order it that way, but the cashier clearly had no clue how to ring up that option either. She tried to claim that it wasn't available. So neither of us were able to order our smoothies the way we wanted.
So, trying to be reasonable and work with her, we just ordered them regular. Then when we finally get our smoothies, mine was given to me in the wrong size. A couple minutes later when the man making our smoothies returned to the counter, I pointed that out to the gentleman who made the smoothie (who also appeared to be the manager). His response was to ask me if I had "sipped" any of it yet. When I said no, he proceeded to take it back from me, and actually pour it back into the smoothie pitcher. That's definitely a strong no in food service. It was returned to me watery like there was too much juice or like it was melted.
If that's not bad enough, then my wife's smoothie was also wrong--not what we ordered--and tasted actually bad.
Having had way more than enough of Smoothie King at this point we just took our smoothies and left, but this experience definitely is a strong encouragement towards visiting...
Read moreI went in, first one in line, to order my Keto smoothie. The cashier took my order and let me know they did not have 1 ingredient. I said it was fine and to continue with the order using what they had. I sat and waited... 4 customers that were after me, received their smoothies before me. Once I was finally called, I received a larger cup than I had ordered; initially, I thought this was great! I decided to take a sip and almost vomited. It tasted nothing like the Keto smoothies I had gotten from the Bowie location. I was then told they actually ran out of 4 key ingredients not just 1. I couldn’t stomach it so I asked for the Gladiator (it’s not Keto but it’s Keto friendly). They were missing ingredients for this smoothie as well! Why advertise for smoothies, if you don’t have the ingredients to make them?! I decided to take the 25 minute drive to the Bowie location, where they gave me not only the smoothie I desired but 3 free coupons for future smoothies. Because this location is in the area where I work, I may call the manager and ask if they plan to have a better stock so that I may return as a customer rather than banning...
