I am not sure that this location is still in business. I've gone to pick up food several times and have witnessed negative encounters with their customers in the past, but never experienced one until now. I had always wondered what could have possibly happened to make customers as upset as they were, but I totally get it now. They have zero regard for the customers who keep them in business.
I logged in to order online, and there was a BOGO special listed...BONUS! The store was listed as a participating restaurant, so I completed my order, waited for the confirmation and then headed out to pick up the food. When I arrived, I gave them my name and was kind of given a blank look. I continued to walk to the counter and was then informed that my order had been cancelled because they do not participate with BOGO and I should be seeing a credit back on my card in 3-5 business days. How is that ok?!?! Over an $8 promo that they were listed as participating with on the company website, they cancelled an order (That was for my boss mind you!!) rather than just suck up the pennies of loss and then contact corporate to then be removed from the promo.
Online ordering is put in place to make customers' lives easier and to expedite the process. If I had time to waste I would've walked into the store to order and waited. I ordered online because i had limited time, and instead of respecting that, they cancelled an order. What if that was my last $20?!?! I would now have to wait 3-5 business days to see it again over their ignorance!!!! I ordered online. They could have easily called me to let me know the situation, but no, they allowed me to waste 20 minutes killing time to then show up for an order that was cancelled!! Read moreSTAY AWAY FROM SUBWAY MILLERSVILLE. Their customer service is beyond poor. They will argue with you about coupons on the app of orders that went through on the app. Absolutely horrible experience at Subway Millersville, MD today. No wonder the place was empty. The franchisee/operator is NASTY and is probably driving customers away. Placed my order on the Subway app, used one of the corporate coupon codes Subway mailed out. Franchisee guy started doing my order. At one point he noticed that I used a coupon. Kept telling me to sit down (why? so I could not see what he was doing? I did not want to sit down. I wanted to see the sandwich being made). But he told me multiple times to "take a seat" while he made the sandwich. Odd. A lady comes put, perhaps his wife and he shows her the receipt. She starts getting mean and saying I can't use a coupon. I say it's a coupon that sent in US mail and worked online so I'm good. The two of them keep talking amongst themselves and I'm in a hurry and ask them if we can finish my order. They keep getting nasty to me. I say the only reason I came in was because of the offer and if this is how they're going to treat customers, then I will never give them my business again. You should also know the restaurant was completely empty with not a customer in sight and they have a hand written sign inside the store with about 10 sandwiches that they won't take any coupon on. No wonder why no one goes to this Millersville, MD location. I had a horrible experience and couldn't believe how nasty these folk were. (the guy also didn't even follow my order. I mentioned I wanted LESS mayo and he not only put a ton of mayo down the first time but then went back a 2md time later after putting the bacon in and did MORE mayo). the whole experience today was just a mess and I'm not happy with how mean these folks were to me. Read moreAll right I tried to be kind about this but after my last few visits I'm very disappointed. First every time I come to this location and ask for 9 grain honey oat I get wheat bread instead. And when I questioned about said bread I am told that this product is what I asked for.
Second, I don't know if management is lacking but every time I come on a Saturday there is always one person there. Just one! I'm not angry at the sandwich makers. Honestly I feel sorry for them that they are made to work by themselves.
Third, why is it that every time I order a pepperoni pizza and I watch them put it in the oven it's mostly raw by the time I get home? I'm less than 5 minutes from this location and I have to put this pizza in the microwave. Is the toaster not working right? Or do employees not know which button to press to toast properly?
I will be reasonable to say that I know times are tough and they may be short-staffed. But that is no reason for one person to run an entire store alone. Someone from management should have been there to assist the employee. That's just my two cents. Honestly if you're looking for a top-notch Subway in the Pasadena area in Maryland then I suggest the one on Mountain Road right next to Pizza City. 10 years and I've never had a problem with that location. Wonderful!
Back to the issue. I know the management from this location and they do have a habit of leaving their employees to fend for themselves. They also own another Subway in the Southdale shopping center in Glen Burnie. Don't know how much has changed at that location.
But if you're in the mood for subs while in the area might I suggest something from a small mom-and-pop shop instead? Plenty of choices to choose from...
