The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Maryland

I placed my small Christmas order on December 14. I have been so excited to order a HoneyBaked ham as my sister in law has always recommended it for any gathering. I arrived today, December 23 to pick up my order and everything was off! I reached the counter and mentioned to the young man that I had a pickup order. He asked what was the order, I mentioned, would you like my confirmation number. It was a complete madhouse. Once he asked for my last name, he went to get my order. He came back and stated they were out of the sweet potato casserole. I was semi shocked as I placed this order over a week ago, but the crazy thing was a guy came out of the back with the sweet potato casserole and gave it to another customer. The pure look of disappointment on my face as I was not offered a sorry or how could we make this better. As we made it to the register to pay, it just go weird. My husband mentioned was he able to get his military discount, the associate rudely was trying to explain the price of the ham and all when we only asked if we were allowed to use our military discount or did the company offer it. The entire experience just put a bad taste...

I have purchased from this store three times in the last three months. Each Oder was $80 or more. My husband went to pick up an order that was between $65-70 and he asked about coupon. They told him they had none. I tried to look online and told them what I had seen and they said the coupon I saw was not correct, but they would not help him out with a coupon. I have gone before and they have been nice and helped out because you are spending enough money at this establishment. I guess it depends on who is working at the register. Also the online prices range for the hams and turkeys start around $34 depending on the item, but each time I have gone in to this particular honey baked ham, they never had the lower priced hams. They always Say this is the cheapest, and the prices always started in the $40 range and higher. Honey baked ham, everyone doesn’t want a $45-50 ham. The first lady who helped us was so rude! I asked the cashier her name and she told my but I forgot. I hope she was just in a bad mood because hashed has zero customer service skills! I wasn’t going to spend a dime with her. In fact, I stalled until someone else came to help. The young man who actually helped us was awesome. He was patient and took his time to find the perfect ham for us. If I could have just tipped him only, I would have. I got the ham, which was good and chicken salad. I used to love the chicken salad when it had grapes. It now has cranberries and I couldn’t eat it. It wails be cool if they had both versions. That had nothing to do with their 2 star review.
