Came to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday during the Christmas holidays. Used to come here often when we lived in Columbia. It wasn't too busy so we were seated quickly and the food took about 10-15 minutes to get to our table. Portions are good-sized relative to the menu prices, and the food is very tasty. Friendly staff, lots of tables and seats, and parking is free though it's shared with other businesses and shops in the shopping plaza. General Tso's Chicken is good and so is the House Special Chow Mein, if you like crunchy noodles. Recommended.

They’ve nailed Mongolian Chicken! Perfect blend of sweet and spicy. And their tofu with mixed vegetables in brown sauce is quite tasty. Good sized portions. Get the lunch special and you get fried rice, crispy noodles and your choice of egg roll, spring roll, or soup. Comes with hot tea. Good amount of vegetarian choices - clearly marked on menu. Especially like their eggplant. Their veggie lomein is uninspired- but we order it because my grands like it a lot. Nice staff and good service. Good value. Locally owned.

A carry out menu was placed in my mailbox by Door dash. I decided to check out the location and also try the food. I was surprised to see it was tucked away on the left of Giant supermarket. I certainly could have driven past it if not for Maps guiding me. I placed a phone order for Chicken Lo mein with broccoli and the Jumbo Shrimp Tempura. My food was ready and bagged for pickup. The prices are reasonable and food was appealing. I usually like my food more spicy but that's my personal taste.

Well we almost didn't go to Hunan Legend because of some of the negative reviews. However our friends said that they had a good experience there on a prior visit so we gave it a try. We love Hunan Manor in Columbia which for us serves as the benchmark against which we rate all other Chinese restaurants. Hunan Legend is located in Dorsey Search shopping center so there is plenty of parking and access to the restaurant is terrific. The restaurant is small but the ambience is very nice and inviting and far more elegant and quiet than Hunan Manor. The service was excellent and I found the prices to be about on par with Hunan Manor. The food was excellent and the dishes were very generous in size and quite tasty. I had salt and pepper squid which is a favorite and I have to say it was excellent and every bit as good as Hunan Manor. Actually the presentation was superior and you could see that the chef spent some time ensuring that the dish looked terrific as well as tasted great. My wife had bok choi seasoned with garlic and the other couple in our party ordered a salmon dish and eggplant in garlic. Everyone loved their entrees. We had tofu and vegetable soup as an appetizer and is was, again, every bit as good as the similar soup served by Hunan Manor with the added bonus of being larger in portion size. We have only been once but I would not hesitate to return. This is a very good up scale...

We had been loyal customers enjoying dine in and ordering takeout for many years. Since the beginning of COVID, they have chosen to remain predominantly a carryout business. Overall, carryout had been good over the years if you were able to overlook their consistently unfriendly demeanor. I think they need to remind themselves that they are in business because of their customers. Also, if you order carryout prior to peak dinner time…BEWARE!! We recently ordered two entrees in the mid-late afternoon that turned out to be very disappointing and ultimately resulted in pretty severe gastrointestinal issues for us both. Both portions tasted like they had been sitting in bay for however long, were overly dry and were in no way freshly prepared for the order that we had placed. Tammi, May and Calvin consistently display an uncomfortable and snooty presence with their service to the public, especially if you should have an issue with your order or wish to use their advertised online coupon. They will quickly speak among each other in their own language….. very unprofessional and rude!! Observe and take note with your own future experience. We will definitely...

Usually a lurker, but felt the immense entitlement by the poster below about the shrimp warrants a review. Been going to this restaurant for 10+ years and they have been around even longer. A business doesn't survive by "disgracefully ripping people off" as she was trying to allude to.

To be "offended" and "feel disrespected" because a restaurant has sorry, rules, to THEIR menu and capabilities, shows the entitlement by today's customers. What if the restaurant didn't have an option to even add the 4 shrimp? Then you order another order of the dish, and you can't be "ripped off" or "offended"? I can't even add protein to anything but salads at most places? I feel bad for them for even being given that review just because they offered an option...

PSA: Please review the food, not what you deem unacceptable because the restaurant can't cater to your specific request off menu.

Please try the hot crispy beef, honey sesame chicken, and salt...
